Here's your Days of our Lives recap for July 11, 2025, when Sarah offered Philip a deal, Jada questioned Chanel as a suspect, and Xander took Victoria.
What happened on Days of our Lives

At the DiMera mansion, Belle showed EJ the video footage of his argument with Chanel the night of the shooting. EJ pretended to be surprised by the footage, and he claimed he had no memory of the conversation. “I’d say what’s on that video is pretty damning, wouldn’t you?” EJ said. Belle cautioned EJ not to jump to conclusions. Belle told EJ that Jada was questioning Chanel.
EJ theorized aloud that Chanel had double backed after she had left, and then she had used Roman’s gun to shoot EJ. “That’s speculation,” Belle said. “But you have to admit, it certainly lends reasonable doubt as to my son’s guilt,” EJ said. With a shrug, EJ said he wanted to prove his son’s innocence, but not at Chanel’s expense.
Belle asked EJ if the thwarted adoption was enough of a motive for Chanel to commit murder. “You know as well as I do, people commit all kinds of desperate acts when they feel backed into a corner,” EJ said.
At the police precinct, Paulina talked to Jada about the video footage of Chanel threatening EJ’s life. “I have to bring Chanel in for questioning,” Jada said. Paulina argued that the timing of the appearance of the video from an anonymous source was suspicious. “There are chain of custody concerns, but that’s a question for Belle,” Jada said.
When Paulina asked about any other footage, Jada said that the video of Chanel was the only thing on the memory card. “I know how it looks, but my daughter did not shoot EJ,” Paulina argued. Paulina agreed to call Chanel.
In the square, Johnny reassured Chanel that EJ was the best lawyer for his case. “There is no way that he is going to let me get convicted of a crime I didn’t commit,” Johnny said. Chanel agreed. “I know he’s going to fight like hell for you, just like my mother would for me,” Chanel said. Paulina called, and she asked Chanel and Johnny to meet her at the police station.
When Johnny and Chanel arrived, Paulina informed Chanel that Jada wanted to question her. Paulina insisted on a lawyer, but Chanel argued that she had nothing to hide. “That’s not the point,” Paulina countered. Johnny agreed with Paulina, but Chanel argued she would do anything to help Johnny. “It will be fine. I will be back in a minute,” Chanel said.
Jada escorted Chanel into the interrogation room, and she told Chanel that there was video of her argument with EJ from the night of the shooting. “We have you on tape threatening your father-in-law’s life,” Jada said. “Sorry, what?” Chanel yelped. Jada asked Chanel if she had returned later that night and shot EJ.
“Jada, you know me,” Chanel said. Jada explained that as the police commissioner, she needed to ask the question. Chanel said she did not return to the house or shoot EJ. “And I definitely did not threaten him,” Chanel stressed. Jada quoted Chanel’s threat from the video. “I never said that,” Chanel protested. “I saw the video,” Jada said. Confused, Chanel admitted she had lashed out at EJ, but that she had no memory of the words that Jada had quoted.
“And even if I did say those words, I most definitely did not follow through on them,” Chanel added. Jada told Chanel that she was not under arrest, but she was a suspect. With a groan, Chanel wondered aloud how many times she would be falsely accused of a crime. Jada vowed to ensure that Chanel was treated fairly during the investigation.
In the bullpen, Paulina told Johnny about the video. “But she didn’t really threaten his life, did she?” Johnny asked. “I wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes,” Paulina said. Johnny argued that no matter how angry Chanel had been, she was not capable of shooting anyone. Frustrated, Johnny announced he would confess to the crime before he would let them convict his wife of a crime she had not committed.
“I wished my father dead to his face. And maybe I deserve to be punished for that, even if I didn’t pull the trigger,” Johnny said. Taken aback, Paulina stammered, “You really didn’t shoot your father, did you?” Johnny stressed that neither he nor Chanel had shot EJ. Paulina refused to let Johnny make a false confession. “Then we need to find out who [shot EJ]. For all our sakes,” Johnny said.
When Chanel rejoined Johnny and Paulina, she told them about the interview. “I don’t remember any of that. I don’t remember saying any of it,” Chanel said. “I saw the video,” Paulina said. Johnny suggested that Chanel had spoken in the heat of the moment, and that was why she had not remembered what she had said to EJ. Chanel explained that she was now a suspect in the shooting. Johnny and Paulina assured Chanel that they believed she was innocent. Johnny demanded to see the incriminating video, but Jada refused.
In the Kiriakis living room, Maggie asked Sarah to go on the trip to Bermuda with her since Melissa had been unable to go. Sarah was tempted, but she noted that she could not take Victoria out of the country without Xander’s approval.
At the Titan offices, Xander bristled at Philip’s suggestion that Xander should quit. “I’m the sole and rightful heir,” Xander grumbled. “And if you tell anyone that, then I’ll be forced to correct my story and announce to the police that you were the one who tried to beat me to death,” Philip countered. Philip warned Xander to make the situation work and not attempt to murder him. Philip asked Xander if the idea of their father bothered him.
“What about him?” Xander asked. “Just the fact that he loved me while he barely tolerated you. Sometimes not even that,” Philip said. Annoyed, Xander called Philip arrogant. Philip continued to talk about how Victor had loved him, but only thought of Xander as a bastard. “One he was too embarrassed to acknowledge while he was still alive,” Philip added. Furious, Xander ordered Philip to leave his office.
“I didn’t come in here to pick a fight,” Philip said. “Don’t make me say it again, Philip. Get out,” Xander growled. Sarah appeared in the doorway. “What’s going on in here?” Sarah asked. Xander said they had been talking about getting Philip caught up on the workload. Sarah asked why Xander had ordered Philip to leave. With a shrug, Philp lied and said he had asked too many questions. “It turns out you miss all kinds of corporate goings on when you’re in the hospital fighting for your life,” Philip said.
After Philip left for the pub, Sarah asked Xander if Victoria could go with her to Bermuda. Xander refused to let Sarah leave the country with his daughter. “You are being unreasonable,” Sarah said. Xander accused Sarah of wanting to run off with their daughter, but Sarah reminded Xander that she was asking for his permission to take Victoria on the trip. Xander threatened to have Sarah arrested at the airport.
“You are a mean and horrible person, and I hate you with every cell of my being,” Sarah said. After Sarah walked out, Xander appeared wounded by her words, then he scowled. Xander headed over to the Kiriakis mansion. When Xander arrived, he told Maggie that he would not let her and Sarah abscond with Victoria. “Victoria is coming home with me now,” Xander said. Maggie refused to help.
“Stop imagining these conspiracies where there are none,” Maggie yelled. Maggie explained that she had asked Sarah on the trip because her other daughter had been forced to cancel due to work. “How convenient,” Xander said. Frustrated, Maggie ordered Xander to leave. Against Maggie’s objections, Xander ordered the nanny to pack Victoria’s stuff.
“You’re making a terrible mistake, Xander,” Maggie said. “The only mistake I made was believing a woman like you could ever love me like a son. A woman who’s now conspiring to steal my daughter,” Xander said. Maggie assured Xander that no one wanted to kidnap Victoria. Maggie urged Xander to work out an agreement with Sarah instead of escalating the situation. Xander told Maggie that Sarah would regret it if she fought him for custody of Victoria.
“Your father would be turning over in his grave if he knew that you were ripping his namesake out of this house,” Maggie argued. “Do you really think that Victor Kiriakis would want me to make peace with liars who only want to steal what’s mine?” Xander asked. Maggie argued that she knew Victor better than Xander, and he would not want “this.”
Xander argued that Maggie meant that Victor would not want him. “It always goes back to that, doesn’t it? You’re feeling unloved and unwanted. So what? Because Victor didn’t claim you before he died, you’re going to burn everything down?” Maggie wondered. Maggie asked Xander if he wanted to regress to the monster he had been. “I am the monster my father made me, Maggie,” Xander growled.
Sarah met up with Philip at the pub, and she asked him to confess to the police that Xander had attacked him. “I told you, it wasn’t him,” Philip said. Sarah told Philip that she had a way for him to tell the truth and not suffer the consequences of his fraud. Sarah argued that if Philip identified Xander as his assailant, Alex and Stephanie would not want to support Xander. “And if my soon-to-be ex-husband goes to prison, then you would be the sole CEO. Isn’t that what you always wanted?” Sarah asked. Philip said no. When Sarah returned home, Maggie told her that Xander had taken Victoria.
