Days of our Lives Recap, July 7-11, 2025: Victoria's custody battle escalates, Gwen returns, and Chanel is incriminated

Here is your weekly recap for Days of our Lives for the episodes that aired July 7th through 11th, 2025 when Sophia planned with Melinda, Alex told Stephanie he loved her, Sarah plotted against Xander, Xander took Victoria, Gwen returned, and video incriminated Chanel as a prime suspect.

What happened on Days of our Lives

Sophia continued to hide that she was no longer pregnant. Tate visited, and she refused to let him touch her belly. After Tate left to meet up with Holly, Sophia read an article about a baby that had been left at the fire station. Melinda and Sophia agreed on a plan for the weekend. Sophia asked to write a letter to her baby, and Melinda promised to make sure it was delivered to the firehouse for Sophia.

Xander apologized to Felicity, and she accepted. Felicity manipulated Chad and Cat into spending some time alone together. Chad and Cat had a drink and chatted. Over a romantic Fourth of July picnic, Alex told Stephanie that he loved her. The two made love in the park.

Xander and Sarah had a discussion about custody that turned ugly. Xander informed Melinda that he wanted to pursue full custody of Victoria. Despite their anger, both Xander and Sarah thought about one another on the Fourth of July.

Bonnie advised Sarah to cut ties with Xander for both Sarah and Victoria’s sakes. Bonnie encouraged Sarah to play dirty in the custody battle. Xander ran into Gwen and they reminisced and got drunk together. Gwen kissed Xander, and Leo and Javi watched her pull Xander into her hotel. Xander chickened out and fled Gwen’s room before they slept together.

Gwen returned to Salem with Alice’s necklace, but she refused to give it to Julie. Julie vowed to get her family heirloom back. JJ attempted to reclaim the necklace, but Gwen argued that there was no proof that the necklace had belonged to Julie. JJ warned Gwen to make an effort to make peace with her family or else she would never have one.

Tesoro did not stop crying, so a worried Leo took him to the hospital. Kayla determined that Tesoro was healthy, but likely needed a hypoallergenic brand of baby formula for his sensitive stomach. While Leo and Javi talked in the square, they ran into Gwen. Gwen sneered at Leo, and she announced that she intended to keep Alice’s necklace. Gwen spilled information about Leo that made Javi question their relationship. After a heartfelt speech, Javi told Leo that he accepted him. Javi told Leo he was a good father.

Rafe told Ari and Gabi that Roman had spotted Ari with Doug. Ari claimed she no longer had any interest in Doug because he was flaky. Gabi warned Ari to steer clear of Doug, and Ari reminded her mother that she was an adult. Ari stormed out of the house, and she snuck into Doug’s room. Doug told her about the loan shark. Doug warned Ari it was not safe to be around him, but she slept with him anyway.

Belle and Marlena talked about Johnny’s case. Belle assured Marlena that EJ wanted justice as much as she did. Marlena was a bit dizzy, so Belle convinced her to sleep on the couch to get away from her bed.

Tony told EJ that he wanted to take back the family company, but EJ said he only wanted to run the hospital. The brothers argued that the only one that could run the company was Johnny, but Tony pointed out that Johnny might go to jail. When EJ hinted that he was sure that would not happen, Tony asked EJ what he had done.

Rafe told Gabi that someone had anonymously given the memory card from his camera to Belle. Jada played the footage on the memory card for Paulina. The video showed Chanel’s argument with EJ, and her threatening to kill him. Jada questioned Chanel. Chanel said she had no memory of having made a threat. Belle showed the video to EJ, and he acted surprised by it. EJ claimed he had no memory of the argument. EJ insisted that the video established reasonable doubt in Johnny’s case.

Philip returned to work at Titan. After pushing Xander’s buttons to make him angry, Philip informed Xander that he had signed him up for anger management class with HR. Philip convinced Xander to shoot a video with him to show they were a united front. The brothers bumped heads until Johnny suggested they make another attempt after lunch.

Maggie asked Sarah to join her on a trip to Bermuda. When Sarah asked Xander for permission to take Victoria, he refused. Xander accused Sarah of attempting to leave the country with his daughter. Furious, Sarah chased after Philip and offered him a deal to protect him against fraud accusations if he told the truth about his beating. Philip said no. Xander fought with Maggie about Victor and Sarah, and he took Victoria and left the mansion.
