Brady told Philip that he was relieved that Xander was innocent because he did not want to lose more family. Vivian called Philip, and he refused to forgive her.

Stephanie and Sarah agreed that Philip was lying about Xander. Sarah asked Stephanie to talk to Philip and get the truth out of him. Sarah stressed that if Xander had been the assailant, he deserved to be in prison. Stephanie questioned Philip, but he did not change his story. Privately, Philip told Xander that he did not trust him. Xander swore that he was sorry for his actions and that he had decided not to kill Philip when Philip had woken up. Philip told Xander that he believed him because he said Xander would have killed him already. Philip warned Xander to secure the sale of the hospital to Titan, or he would tell the police the truth about Xander.

While at the hospital, Stephanie found her missing novel. Stephanie met up with Alex for lunch, and she lit into him for his carelessness. Alex told Stephanie about Kate’s involvement.
