Here is your Days of our Lives recap for Tuesday, June 24, 2025, when Paul and Andrew married.
What happened on Days of our Lives

Steve woke up on the first day of his semi-retirement, and he made love to Kayla. After, Steve asked Kayla about her “new moves.” Kayla showed Steve the copy of “One Stormy Night.” “This was your inspiration?” Steve asked. Kayla giggled. Steve wanted to attempt another passage from the novel, but Kayla reminded him that they needed to attend a wedding.
At the penthouse, Rachel showed off her dress to Marlena. “Do you feel rested?” Marlena asked. “Not really,” Rachel admitted. Marlena told Rachel that she had heard her mention a shooting in her sleep. “Sometimes when we talk in our sleep, it’s because there are things that we want to say when we’re awake but we can’t. Is there anything you’d like to tell me?” Marlena asked. Rachel nodded yes.
“But mommy told me not to tell anyone,” Rachel said. “I think that mommy was just trying to protect you. But now you’re having nightmares, and you’re having tummy aches, and I think it’s because of something going on inside,” Marlena counseled. Marlena encouraged Rachel to open up to her so that she could feel better.
“I know who shot my Uncle EJ,” Rachel blurted out. Rachel explained that she could not say who, because something bad might happen to Grandma Rachel. Marlena promised that nothing would happen to Rachel Blake. “You won’t tell anyone, will you? Please, I don’t want anything to happen to Grandma or Johnny,” Rachel said. “Johnny?” Marlena said. Rachel admitted that Johnny had shot EJ.
Tate met up with Shane in the cafe, and they discussed the baseball game they had attended with Paul the previous night. “[Theresa] was sorry she missed [your graduation],” Shane said. With a shrug, Tate noted he had missed it too. Shane admitted that he hoped he could meet the baby before they delivered it to its new parents. Shane asked Tate how he was doing. Tate recounted the milestones of the pregnancy.
“Sounds like you’ve gotten attached to this baby,” Shane said. Shane asked Tate if he had been having second thoughts about the adoption. Tate said no, but that he worried his child would feel like they had been abandoned. “Didn’t Aunt Eve feel that way?” Tate asked. “Unfortunately, she did,” Shane said. Shane argued the situation was different because Tate was making a decision on the best interests of the baby.
At the Brady Pub, Carrie told Belle that she was worried about Belle's relationship with EJ. “There is just something about the way he looks at me that makes me feel appreciated in a way I never have before,” Belle said. Belle admitted she was conflicted, but that she was taking Marlena’s advice to follow her heart. Carrie asked Belle to go into the relationship with her eyes open.
Will joined his aunts. “I didn’t think [this wedding] would be this soon after Dad’s passing, but it makes me really happy to think how much he would have loved to see Paul and Andrew tie the knot,” Belle said. Will noted that Sonny would not be able to make the wedding. “I’m glad that you and Paul are on good terms. You went through a lot together,” Carrie said. Will agreed things had ended for the best for all three of the men.
After Andrew and Paul made love in their hotel room, they talked about their bachelor party at the baseball game the night before. Paul admitted that he had never been nervous before a game, but that he was nervous about their marriage. Andrew noted that their long-distance relationship had been working, and he hoped that would still be the case after the wedding. Paul confessed that he was concerned about the dangers of Andrew’s job, especially when they were apart. Andrew promised that he and Paul would have a long life together.
“I love you, Paul. Nothing will ever come between us,” Andrew said. Paul talked about the wedding, raising the spirits of the family, and he lamented that Andrew would not get to meet his mother. “She would have loved you. Just like my dad did,” Paul said. As a wedding gift from Marlena, Andrew gave Paul John’s watch.
At the church, Brady and Eric set up the garden for the wedding. “As a Catholic priest, I never performed or officiated a same-sex marriage. I’m just really honored to do it,” Eric said. Brady told Eric he would be great. “And honestly, I think we could all use a happy occasion,” Brady said. Brady noted that although he was honored to be Paul’s best man, he wished John had lived to fill the role.
“[John] would not want us dwelling on what we lost,” Eric advised. Brady agreed. Eric pointed to Philip’s recovery as a good gain. Brady admitted he was unconvinced that Xander had not been Philip’s attacker. Eric changed the topic to Tate and the baby, then Brady changed the subject to Nicole. Eric admitted things were not good with Nicole, but before he could elaborate, Marlena arrived with Rachel. While Eric, Brady, and Rachel were looking at the cake, Marlena called Roman and asked to talk to him after the ceremony.
Once the guests arrived, everyone mingled and hugged until the grooms appeared. As Kayla straightened Andrew’s tie, she asked him if he would mind if she acted as the mother of the groom in place of Kim. “I wouldn’t have it any other way. You were always like a mother to me,” Andrew said. “And you’re like a son,” Kayla said. Kayla talked about how Andrew’s kindness was an asset for his marriage. “If Paul and I have a marriage that’s anywhere close to yours, we’ll be very lucky,” Andrew said.
As Marlena straightened Paul’s tie, he showed her that he was wearing John’s watch. “I love that you’re wearing it. I want you to keep it. And I feel such joy knowing that something John loved so much is something that you are wearing on your very special day,” Marlena said. “I feel the same way too,” Paul said.
Eric started the wedding with a Japanese tradition, the sharing of the cups. “With the small cup, I am grateful for my ancestors who raised me and the past that I’ve met,” Carrie said. Paul and Andrew repeated the words and sipped from the cup. Next, the grooms exchanged vows. Andrew talked about how he had met Paul through John.
“From the very beginning, being with him felt so natural and so right,” Andrew said. Andrew told Paul that no matter where they were in the world, Paul was always with him. “You are in my heart and my soul forever, and I am so blessed to be the person you’ve chosen to walk through this life with,” Andrew said.
With tears in his eyes, Paul talked about how he had fallen in love with Andrew at first sight. “My mother used to say, few words speak the truth. I love you, Andrew. And that is my truth,” Paul said. Paul noted that Andrew knew him better than anyone except John. “[John] believed in the power of the heart. He gave me the courage to push past my fear and my doubts, to trust my own heart. To believe that we could work. Here we are,” Paul said. Paul added that he believed that John had rooted for them to work out because John had been an honorary member of Andrew’s family. “And when I met you, I just knew. I was home,” Paul said.
The grooms said their “I do’s”, and they exchanged rings. “As we join our hearts together now, and for all the days of our lives,” Paul said. After the ceremony, Brady lead a toast and talked about how the family had fallen in love with Paul. “I happen to know for a fact that [John] was over the moon when he found out that you were his son. I am so proud to be your best man, and I am prouder to be your brother,” Brady said. Shane gave a toast to his son.
“Andrew, you are and always have been my pride and joy. Not only are you a stellar ISA agent, but just as importantly, you are a stellar human being. And it gives me more joy than you can imagine that you have found someone equally stellar to share your life with,” Shane said. Shane added that although Paul had lost a father, he had also gained one in him.
As everyone mingled, Marlena asked Tate about Rachel. Tate noted that Rachel was hungry for cake, so it seemed like she was feeling better. As Marlena smiled with relief, Carrie interrupted to say goodbye before she left town. Across the garden, Will thanked Paul for the invite. “I’m sorry I missed [Sonny], but I’m glad that you’re here. And you know, I’m really glad that we’re friends,” Paul said. “We’re more than friends. We’re family,” Will said. Paul and Will hugged.
Paul joined Andrew as he chatted with Kayla, Steve, and Shane. Shane asked Paul to talk to him about a job at the ISA after the honeymoon. “You’re newlyweds. You shouldn’t be bicoastal,” Shane said. Shane told Paul that he had a job for him in DC if he wanted it. “See? It’s all sorting itself out,” Andrew said. Andrew and Paul thanked everyone for joining them. “Thank you for not postponing the wedding. We all needed a double-dose of life-affirming joy,” Marlena said. Paul noted that he was sure John was watching over them. Rachel pointed out a rainbow in the sky, and everyone smiled.
