Here is your weekly recap for Days of our Lives for the episodes that aired June 30th through July 4th, 2025.
What happened on Days of our Lives

Johnny was booked for attempted murder despite the protestations of EJ and Rafe. EJ talked to the judge about Johnny’s case. Roman turned over his gun to the police. EJ convinced Chanel and Johnny that he was the best person to act as Johnny’s lawyer since he was both the victim and the accused’s father. Despite Chanel’s reservations, Johnny agreed with EJ. EJ secured Johnny’s release on bail.
Kristen was furious when she learned about Johnny’s arrest. Brady assured Kristen that Rachel Blake would be fine, but Kristen admitted she did not know if EJ would lash out at them. Rachel convinced her parents to have a movie night at the penthouse, and Brady and Kristen were civil to one another for Rachel’s sake.
Sarah continued to resist joint custody because she was afraid of her connection to Xander. Maggie admitted she had felt the same conflicting emotions for Victor. Sarah told her mother that she was not sure whether she could go through with a divorce.
When Brady took Rachel out to breakfast the next day, they ran into Sarah. Sarah noticed that Rachel appeared to be less anxious. Brady told Sarah about what Rachel had witnessed at the mansion. When Sarah expressed concern about the stability in their children’s lives, Brady reminded Sarah that he and Kristen had worked through their anger. Brady urged Sarah to put her daughter first and work out an agreement with Xander.
While Sarah was out, Xander asked to see Victoria. Maggie refused to wake the baby. Xander accused Maggie of having turned her back on Victor’s company because she hated Xander. Maggie explained that she hated Xander’s actions, but that she had not given up on him. Maggie confirmed that she had voted for Titan to buy the hospital. Xander apologized.
Maggie ordered Xander to find a custody compromise with Sarah. When Xander resisted, Maggie reminded him of the baby switch, and that he could not take another child from Sarah. Xander softened and took Maggie’s hand. After Xander’s visit with Victoria, he ran into Sarah in the square and they were civil to one another.
Tate checked on Sophia, and she confirmed that she had not had any false labor contractions since graduation. Sophia was anxious to spend time alone with Tate, but he left to visit with his sister. Once Sophia was alone at home, her water broke and she went into labor. Sophia gave birth at home. Worried about everyone’s response, Sophia decided to drop her baby boy off at a safe haven drop site.
Sophia reached out to Melinda for help. Melinda asked Sophia if she was sure she wanted to give up the baby, and Sophia insisted that she had done the right thing. Melinda insisted that Sophia see a doctor, and she offered to pay for it. Melinda secured a pregnancy pad for Sophia to use to continue to fake her pregnancy.
Javi started his EMT job with the Salem FD. After Sophia’s baby was dropped off at the safe haven, Javi delivered the baby from the firehouse to the hospital. Javi elected to act as a foster until the baby could be adopted, but Rafe was the foster father of record. Javi and Leo decided to call the baby Tesoro, Spanish for treasure.
Ari convinced Doug to meet up in his room above the pub. After Doug slipped Ari his key, he found a threatening note about his debt at another table in the pub. Shaken, Doug demanded that Ari return his key, and he ordered her to leave. The loan shark threatened Doug, so he decided to leave town to protect Holly and Ari.
With help from Austin, Steve secured the return of Alice’s necklace. As Doug prepared to leave town, he apologized to Julie for having been unable to locate her necklace. Julie informed Doug that the necklace had been located and was on its way back to her. Julie added that she was sorry that someone like Doug had been named after her husband.
Holly confessed to Tate that she had liked Doug, but nothing had happened because she still loved Tate. Tate said he felt the same way about her, and they kissed. Holly was hesitant to have a long distance relationship with Tate, but they agreed to date over the summer. Tate confessed he did not want to miss his opportunity to meet the baby.
Sofia saw Tate and Holly holding hands. Maggie warned Holly to be prepared for Tate’s bond to Sophia to remain even after the baby was born. Tate told his father that he was worried about Sophia’s reaction when she learned that he was back together with Holly.
Kate attempted to withdraw from Titan for Roman’s sake. Alex appealed to Kate to help him save the company. Stephanie accidentally outed herself to Kate as the author of “One Stormy Night.” Kate told Roman that she had accepted a job at Titan.
The judge reinstated Belle as prosecutor on Johnny’s case. EJ zeroed in on Kristen as the shooter, but Johnny warned him not to falsely accuse anyone. EJ complained to Johnny that Chanel wanted to drive a wedge between them. Chanel warned Johnny to keep his guard up with EJ.
Brady asked Kristen if Rachel could stay at the penthouse during the trial to keep her away from EJ. EJ ordered Kristen to coach Rachel through her testimony or else he would make Kristen regret it.
