Days of our Lives Recap, November 3, 2025: Rachel and Thomas miss their mark, but danger remains

On Days of our Lives today, Monday, November 3, 2025, a decision is reached about Tesoro, while pumpkin pandemonium ensues at the Horton Town Scare.

What Happened on Days of our Lives

At Book Club, after her phone call, a joyful Chanel delivered the news to Johnny that their adoption of Tesoro had been approved. While the couple embraced and celebrated, at the other end of the bookstore, Leo got a text from Rafe about the adoption. His face fell, but he tried to strike an upbeat tone when he approached Johnny and Chanel and congratulated them. He made a quick retreat with Tesoro, however, after he got another text.

Both Chanel and Johnny expressed their sympathy for Leo after he left, as they realized how difficult the parting would be for him and the entire Hernandez family. Johnny was in disbelief that the approval had unfolded so quickly. Chanel said her mom had played a big part, but the true difference-maker had been Tesoro’s father, Aaron. He had signed away his parental rights and had apparently advocated for Johnny and Chanel to be the adoptive parents. When Chanel informed Johnny that the baby would be theirs the next morning, the couple anticipated their new beginning as a family.

Outside the Brady Pub, Susan ominously warned Stephanie that her new novel would come true. Meanwhile, in Horton Town Square, a mystery figure grabbed Cat’s carving knife and raised it as Alex passed. The person’s plot was foiled, though, when Alex suddenly called, “Watch out!” and raced toward Chad and Cat. The duo and the surrounding crowd reacted with shock after a pumpkin-splattered Alex fell to the ground, unconscious.

Chaos ensued as Chad and Cat called 911 and then tried to revive Alex. Stephanie, Susan, and Leo soon arrived on the scene. While Stephanie rushed toward Alex, Susan made a vague remark to Leo about her premonition. Javi also arrived in his EMT gear and was able to revive Alex. After checking Alex for injuries, Javi suggested he take a trip to the hospital, but Alex said it wasn’t necessary.

Jeremy and Chad both made their way to the catapult and caught Thomas and Rachel, who were panicking, red-handed. Rachel did most of the talking and claimed Thomas and she were only messing around and didn’t intend to harm anybody. Despite the protests, Chad promptly surmised that Rachel and his son had been aiming at Cat. Chad asked Jeremy to take Rachel to the Book Club while he talked with Thomas. Once father and son were alone, Thomas reiterated that he hadn’t wanted anyone to get hurt.

Chad wondered if Thomas would have felt the same way if the pumpkin had hit its intended target. Thomas affirmed he would. Chad let his son know that Rachel’s dad would be informed of the incident and that Thomas himself would apologize.

Back in the square, Javi happily approached Leo and Tesoro and began making plans for their Halloween. Leo broke the news to him that Tesoro had been adopted. Later, the couple went to the Book Club with Tesoro. When they saw Johnny and Chanel, Javi put on a brave face and asked the couple not to mistake his sadness for resentment. He was genuinely happy for Johnny and Chanel and couldn’t think of a better home for Tesoro.

Leo began rambling and apologized, attributing his prattling to a defense mechanism. Johnny and Chanel profusely thanked Javi and Leo for all the love they had given Tesoro. They extended an invitation for the men to visit Tesoro any time. They also caught Leo and Javi off guard when they revealed that Tesoro’s adoption would be finalized the following morning.

Since Tesoro was asleep, Javi and Leo said they needed to get the little boy home. They shared emotional hugs with Johnny and Chanel and then left.

Across the bookstore, Rachel noticed Susan staring at her and snapped at the woman. Susan approached the girl and told her Marlena was in the back with Julie. She advised Rachel that Marlena was dealing with a great deal and didn’t need to worry about Rachel as well.

Back at Horton Town Square, Cat met up with Aaron. After some light bantering about his Halloween attire, Aaron confided in his sister about his recent visit to Child Protective Services. Aaron marveled at the fact that he’d just found out he was a father, only to give up his rights such a short time later. He told Cat he’d wanted to go to the appointment alone and filled her in on how he had supported Johnny and Chanel’s bid to adopt his son. He had reinforced how good Chanel was with Felicity.

When Aaron spotted Leo and Javi with Tesoro, he introduced himself to Javi and extended his thanks for how Javi and his family had cared for Tesoro. Javi asked if Aaron would like to hold his son, and Aaron cautiously agreed. Afterwards, he beamed at Tesoro and called him “sweet.” Javi and Leo deemed the little boy a “treasure,” thus his nickname.

Javi and Leo eventually departed with Tesoro, so Aaron sat down with Cat and opened up more about his complicated feelings. Part of Aaron wondered if Tesoro would inherit any of his traits, like his curly hair and his sense of humor. Cat believed Tesoro would be lucky to take after his dad. Aaron also felt guilty since Sophia had been cut out of the process. Cat reminded him that Sophia had surrendered her rights after she had taken the baby to the firehouse and hadn’t come forward.

At Johnny and Chanel’s place, the couple busily prepped the nursery for Tesoro’s arrival. Chanel was grateful they hadn’t dismantled the crib, but still worried about making the room right. Johnny assured her that good things were in store after all of the tears and setbacks that had marked their journey toward parenthood. The excited duo reaffirmed their love and vowed to each other that they would be amazing parents.

At the Hernandez home, Leo and Javi lovingly watched Tesoro as the baby slept. Each man spoke of how Tesoro had changed their lives for the better. Leo especially had been surprised at how much baby knowledge he had picked up and how Tesoro had made him rethink his whole stance toward parenthood. “How could something so little take up such a big piece of your heart?” Leo pondered as he embraced Javi. The couple also pondered how they were going to get through giving up the little boy who had captured their hearts.

Back in Horton Town Square, Chad took Thomas to apologize to Alex and Stephanie. Alex readily accepted the apology. After Chad sent Thomas away briefly, he offered a personal apology. Stephanie considered the incident was out of character for Thomas, and Chad indicated he’d been influenced by Rachel. When Jeremy approached, however, Alex was quick to level the blame at his rival.

In Alex’s mind, the accident couldn’t have happened if Jeremy hadn’t left his students unsupervised. Chad began to defend Jeremy, but Alex hinted that Chad didn’t know the whole story about Jeremy and, in particular, his prior relationship with Stephanie. Before details could be divulged, Jeremy said Alex and Stephanie had every right to dislike him for his past “jackass” behavior. But he stressed he was a changed man.

Later, Chad rejoined Thomas. Both expressed their regrets and their love for each other. Chad compelled Thomas to talk through his feelings with his dad rather than acting out. Thomas nodded in agreement.

Meanwhile, Cat went to check out the instrument of her near-catastrophe: the pumpkin launcher. Jeremy was there and identified her as the woman Chad and Thomas had been discussing. At Cat’s confusion, Jeremy told a stunned Cat that Thomas had launched the pumpkin…at her.

Back outside the pub, Alex and Stephanie stopped for a private moment of celebration. He commended the success of her book launch and her unveiling. She credited him with making her success happen. When Alex began ranting about Jeremy again, Stephanie kissed him and promised to take him home and make him forget the other man. Their plans were briefly disrupted by another visit from Susan, though.

Stephanie joked that Susan’s radar had been slightly “off,” since Anastasia's novel didn’t include any flying pumpkins. Susan was in no joking mood. She insisted that the fictional events in Stephanie’s newest novel would soon become reality.
