Brady complained that the new parents had refused to let Tate see the baby. Patsy explained that adoptive parents were often hesitant to let the biological parents spend time with the child. Cat, Felicity, and Aaron ran into Chad and Thomas at mini golf and they played together. Tate and Rachel joined the group at golf, and Rachel and Thomas made up. Chad apologized for having snapped at Cat for accepting a job with EJ. Chad kissed Cat, and Rachel saw them. After Chad escorted Cat home, they confessed their romantic feelings for one another.
Brady gave Tate a frame from a store, and Tate recognized the generic photo in it as a photo of the adoptive parents of his child. Brady told Tate about the inconsistencies with Sophia’s story, including the sex of the baby. Melinda told Sophia about Brady’s investigation, and she calmed Sophia down. When Tate asked for a copy of the adoption papers, Sophia promised to send him a copy.
Aaron, Tate, Ari, and Holly moved into the dorms. Holly and Tate took advantage of their new freedom, and they made love in her room. Ari hung out with Aaron in his room since her dorm was occupied by Holly and Tate.
Gabi listened in on a conversation between Xander and Philip on the listening device she had planted in the Titan CEO office. Xander and Philip did not discuss the source of their animosity. Xander pushed Philip aside on his way to anger management therapy.

EJ told Johnny that the jury had found him not guilty. EJ attempted to take credit for the win, but Johnny refused to forgive EJ’s actions. Johnny told EJ that he loved him, but that EJ was too toxic to be in his life. Salem U hired Johnny as the adjunct professor for the film studies class.
Sophia gave Tate the redacted papers for the adoption. Tate was furious, because he had not agreed to a semi-open adoption. Sophia argued that the parents had insisted, and she had not wanted to risk losing what may have been her only option to adopt out their daughter. When Tate asked about the stock photo, Sophia said the parents had refused to send a photo, so she had improvised for Tate’s sake. Tate grudgingly accepted Sophia’s story, but Brady and Steve refused to give up their investigation.
