Here’s your Days of our Lives recap for what happened on Friday, September 19, 2025, when Theo stressed about JJ, Xander and Philip met with Tony, and Alex and Stephanie took a big step together.
What happened on Days of our Lives

Gabi ran into JJ in the square, and he apologized to her and asked for her forgiveness. JJ admitted that he should have believed Gabi when she had said she had not shot EJ. Hurt, Gabi asked why JJ had waited weeks to apologize. “I’m admitting it now. I was wrong,” JJ said. ”Apology not accepted,” Gabi said.
JJ said he had hoped that when Gabi had called him after Ari’s disappearance that it had meant something. Gabi thanked JJ for his help with Ari, but she argued that it did not change the fact that JJ had refused to believe in her innocence. “I was doing my job,” JJ argued. “You still don’t see anything wrong with that do you?” Gabi said. Frustrated, JJ told Gabi to forget it, and he stormed off.
In Stephanie’s living room, Jada said good morning to Stephanie. “Alex asked me to move in with him,” Stephanie announced. Jada told Stephanie that she could afford the rent on her own. “I’m not sure that I do want to move in with Alex,” Stephanie confessed. Stephanie told Jada about her fight with Alex.
“After last night, I’m just not sure we’re ready to live together after all,” Stephanie said. “After one fight?” Jada asked. Stephanie said the fight had felt more like the masks had permanently come off about one another’s flaws. Jada noted that all relationships went through that.
“I actually think this is a good sign. And trust me, moving in while you still have those rosy glasses on, it’s never a good idea,” Jada said. Jada suggested that Alex’s stress over the Titan-DiMera problems had been misplaced anger and was not a sign of a bigger issue with the relationship. Stephanie agreed. Jada cautioned Stephanie not to make any rash decisions.
In the Brady Pub, Alex told Brady about Philip's fraud. “Somehow Tony DiMera found out about it,” Alex said. “Well, now I see what Philip did to piss Xander off,” Brady said. Curious, Brady asked Alex how long he had known about the fraud. Alex explained that Sarah had sworn them all to secrecy.
“So basically, everybody but me [knew],” Brady grumbled. “It’s nothing personal to you. I promise,” Alex said. Alex admitted that the stress of the secret had kept him awake at night. “Did it ever occur to you, Alex, that maybe I would have a solution to this problem?” Brady asked. Brady reminded Alex that Basic Black was at risk too. Alex complained that Xander had frozen him out because he had failed to stop Tony. Alex asked Brady if he had any ideas to save the company. Brady promised to think about it. Alex promised to keep Brady informed.
After Alex left, Gabi walked in and joined Brady at his table. ”Do you know anything about this fraud accusation?” Gabi asked. “No,” Brady lied. Brady complained that he was the last to learn about anything, and he wondered aloud what he “brought to the company.” Gabi stressed that Basic Black was an important asset. Brady pointed out that while John had been a hero, Brady merely sold pants. Gabi playfully objected, but Brady clarified that the work was good if you wanted to do it.
”I’m just not sure that I want it anymore,” Brady said. Gabi encouraged Brady to pursue a career change. “Basic Black is my father’s company. I don’t think I can walk away from that until this is done,” Brady said. Gabi offered to run Basic Black for Brady, but he said he wanted to keep it in the family. “My dad is gone. And any little piece of him, any little connection to him, I don’t want to let go,” Brady said. Gabi told Brady that John would want him to be happy. “So if you want to make a change, I think you should do it,” Gabi advised.
Alex went over to Stehanie’s apartment to return his key. “Does this mean you’re breaking up with me?” Stephanie asked. “No!” Alex said. Alex apologized for having lashed out at her with misplaced anger. “I appreciate you saying that,” Stephanie said. Stephanie asked about the key. Alex explained it had been his attempt to tell Stephanie that he still wanted her to move in with him.
Stephanie said that in order to take the next step, she needed to know that Alex would not run away after every fight. “I should have never done that,” Alex admitted. “Good. Because when you stormed out like that yesterday, it reminded me of when Chad decided that he couldn’t live with me anymore,” Stephanie said. Alex promised that he was willing to put in the work to make their relationship work. Stephanie agreed to move in with Alex.
At the Titan-DiMera offices, Xander told Philip that Tony’s lawsuit had specified fraud. Xander assumed that Tony knew that Philip had not been a legitimate co-CEO. Philip and Xander agreed that since Tony had neglected to add specifics that he was withholding the information in order to blackmail them.
“He wants to milk us for everything we’re worth,” Xander muttered. Xander gave Philip a copy of the paperwork to formally make Philip a CEO. Philip argued that the contract timing would be suspicious to a judge, but Xander countered that the case would never get to trial.
“What if I come clean? Admit what I did. And make it clear that you knew nothing about it. I’ll take the blame because I am to blame,” Philip offered. Xander argued that Tony likely had recorded proof that he had known about the fraud. “If you go down, so do I,” Xander said. Xander urged a united front as co-CEO’s. They each signed the paperwork.
In the square, JJ ran into Theo. Theo glanced at JJ’s police badge on his hip. “Hey,” Theo said. Concerned, JJ asked if Theo was okay. “I’ve got to go,” Theo said as he hurried off. Theo went over to Jada’s office at the police station. “Is everything okay?” Jada asked. Theo told Jada that it was a mistake to reinstate JJ in the police force. Confused, Jada noted that Theo had forgiven JJ for the shooting, and then they had gone into business together.
”Look, I don’t have a problem with JJ as a person. I have a problem with him as a cop,” Theo said. Theo explained that JJ’s decision to leave the force had been a large part of why he had decided to forgive JJ. “Seeing him carrying a gun, it felt like a punch in the gut,” Theo said. Jada told JJ that his feelings were valid, but that she believed JJ would not have returned to the force unless he was certain that he could handle the work.
As Theo’s eyes welled with tears, Jada offered resources for Theo to work through his PTSD. “I appreciate the sympathy commissioner, but what would actually help would be to know that your police department takes my shooting seriously and that they’re doing whatever they can to make sure it doesn’t happen to someone else,” Theo said. Jada listed the steps the organization had taken to prevent shootings.
”The incident involving you and JJ, it was deemed a clean shooting,” Jada said. Jada added that JJ had taken full responsibility for it, and he had a spotless record. “Don’t tell me he’s a good cop. He’s a good person,” Theo said. Theo said that because JJ was his friend, he thought that JJ would have talked to him before taking the job.
“But since he didn’t, I can only wonder about his judgment,” Theo said. Jada noted that JJ had been back on the force for a year, and he had been a good cop. “If you are asking me to fire him, I’m sorry, but I can’t do that,” Jada said. Theo advised Jada to keep an eye on JJ. “So he doesn’t hurt someone the way that he hurt me,” Theo said.
When Xander and Philip arrived at the DiMera mansion, Tony noted that his lawyers would easily prove that Victor’s letter had been fraudulent. Xander argued that it was a waste of time because Philip had been officially named as co-CEO by a contract, not a court order.
“That’s not going to change anything because the merger paperwork entirely hinges on Philip's role as co-CEO. A role that wasn’t legitimately granted until, let me take a guess, was it this morning?” Tony said. Philip argued that the merger was between two companies, and his part was a small detail. Tony argued that the courts cared about details.
”The reason the merger happened in the first place is because your family couldn’t pull itself together fast enough to even recognize that your company was in danger. But unlike the eternally squabbling DiMeras, my brother and I are here today as a united front,” Xander said. Xander asked Tony what he wanted. “I want my father’s company back along with yours,” Tony said. Philip refused to let go of his father’s company.
“Painful thing, isn’t it, losing a family business?” Tony said. Tony vowed that he would take control of both companies. Xander argued that a lawsuit win would not give Tony control of Titan. With a smirk, Tony argued that extended litigation would bankrupt Titan. Tony added that both Xander and Philip would face criminal charges.
”Are you really willing to make such a dangerous gamble?” Tony asked. “We are,” Philip said. Tony told the brothers that they could either accept a buyout of Titan, or he would bankrupt it. “You’ll pay us three times the current market value or no deal,” Xander said. Tony agreed. Philip asked for time to consider the offer. Tony gave them 24 hours to respond.
