The Blake family's resurrection continues on Days of our Lives as Kristen's brother, Peter, makes his return in the form of One Life to Live alumni Dan Gauthier.
Days of our Lives casts Dan Gauthier

According to TV Guide Magazine, Gauthier will make his Salem debut as Peter on December 19th, bringing back a character fans have not seen since 1998. Jason Brooks played the role of Stefano's adoptive son and Kristen's biological brother from 1993-1998.
"I don’t want to give up too much because that’s the fun," Gauthier told TV Guide. "The surprise to viewers is him being there or how he is there."
Gauthier is best known for playing OLTL's Kevin Buchanan from 2003-2010, the 11th actor to play the role of Victoria Lord's son with Joe Riley. Gauthier will reunite with another Llanview face, John-Paul Lavoisier, who played Rex Balsom on OLTL and plays Philip Kiriakis on DAYS.
Gauthier's other TV credits include Supernatural, Criminal Minds, Lost, The Mentalist, Hot in Cleveland, and The New Adventures of Old Christine.
Who is Peter Blake?

Peter Blake was not exactly a hero, which is what one would expect from someone related to Kristen (then played by Eileen Davidson, now Stacy Haiduk) and raised by Stefano (the late Joseph Mascolo). Peter first arrived in Salem to convince his sister to marry Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis), who was later revealed to be Andre. Kristen was already in love with John Black (the late Drake Hogestyn) by then, so her business arrangement marriage to her adoptive brother did not work out.
During Peter's time in Salem, he romanced Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves), but she eventually realized he was not who he appeared to be. After she tried to break things off with him, Peter became obsessed and ultimately kidnapped Jennifer. With Jennifer back in Salem (for now), will their paths cross?
We also have to wonder if Peter is behind the recent rash of DiMera kidnappings. Tony and Kristen have been locked in the DiMera crypt for two weeks. Today, Chad (Billy Flynn) joined them and Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews) will also soon become a guest. The DiMera mystery keeps getting more curious and this blast from the past only adds to the intrigue.
With Peter returning, does that mean that Rachel Blake (Ros Gentile) will also soon make a reappearance? We still don't know where EJ stashed her last year.
