Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) thought she was getting somewhere when her quest to get dirt on the Kiriakis brothers resulted in a night in bed with Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier). Too bad Steve (Stephen Nichols) gave her back her retainer and told her he couldn't investigate anymore. Now, Gabi needs another plan. She doesn't much want a relationship with Philip, but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.

Gabi fills Javi (Al Calderon) in on the new juicy details in her life, while leaving out the corporate espionage part. She then goes to work and finds herself flirting with Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) because she will leave no stone unturned. She wants that DiMera CEO position and will do whatever is needed to get it.

Does Alex start suspecting Gabi when he gives Xander (Paul Telfer) a warning? Someone is digging a little too deep and may finally learn what has been really going on between Xander and Philip. It would be a legal and PR nightmare that could cost them the merger. Are the Kiriakis men about to turn the tables on Gabi before she can get the job done?

More trouble for Johnny and Chanel

Johnny (Carson Boatman) and Chanel (Raven Bowens) are ready to celebrate his freedom. When they headed to court the day before, they weren't sure if Johnny would ever come home, but now their wish has come true. That means it's time to share some romance, something that has been sorely lacking from their lives this year.

Between the mess with Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins), Johnny's refusal to adopt Tate (Leo Howard) and Sophia's (Rachel Boyd) baby, and Johnny's trial, it's been quite a time for the young newlyweds. Now, they think that there's smooth sailing ahead. Too bad their romantic plans get seriously derailed. Will we see a comedy of errors, or does something seriously bad happen?

Every time Johnny and Chanel think they are in the clear, another problem creeps up. Hopefully, they don't go to the Horton cabin and experience another severe weather event that leaves Chanel in the hospital.
