Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) knew something strange was going on the second Rachel (Alice Halsey) mentioned that Tate's (Leo Howard) baby was a girl. Sarah had taken care of Sophia (Rachel Boyd) multiple times and performed several ultrasounds. While Tate and Sophia asked not to know the baby's sex, it was noted in her medical records, and Sarah knows for a fact the baby was a boy.

Sarah takes matters into her own hands and confronts Sophia, asking her why she claimed to give birth to a girl when she most certainly had a boy. Will Sophia break down and tell Sarah the truth, taking one more person into her confidence? She might need someone else to talk to. Melinda (Tina Huang) can't be the only person.

We all know how easy it often is to convince Sarah to keep a secret — look how she kept a big one from her own husband. Why not keep a teenage girl's big secret for no real reason? With Sarah's friendship with Brady (Eric Martsolf) blossoming, a secret about Brady's grandson would be just what they need for soapy angst.

EJ (Danuel Feuerriegel) is happy to have his beloved mother under his roof again, but Susan (Stacy Haidk) never comes without ominous warnings about everything. She sees something very dark and sinister in the DiMera mansion, but look where she is. When is something not dark and sinister taking place?

When Susan tells EJ that she can feel a presence, Chad (Billy Flynn) is intrigued. EJ tells his brother that his mother fancies herself to be a medium, and Susan confirms that she indeed talks to the dead.

But is she seeing dead people this time? Perhaps she sees someone very much alive shooting her precious Elvis. Susan could warn her son that he might not like what he sees when he gets to the bottom of what really happened that night. There has to be a reason he can't remember, even under hypnosis. Who really shot EJ, and why is the identity of the shooter so horrifying to the victim?
