Days of our Lives Spoilers, June 19: Will EJ tell Johnny what he thinks he knows?

What to expect on Days of our Lives

For weeks, EJ DiMera (Daniel Feuerriegel) has been convinced that his own son shot him and left him for dead. It's been eating him up inside, but he is determined to make sure that Johnny doesn't pay for the crime.

Johnny (Carson Boatman) has denied shooting EJ to both Paulina (Jackee Harry) and Chanel (Raven Bowens). In fact, he has vehemently denied it, and his story seems believable. With Rachel claiming she saw Johnny and EJ fighting, it's pretty clear that the person who shot EJ was not Johnny, since the person walked into the living room and pulled the trigger without a word.

When EJ decides to finally be up front with Johnny, will he tell him that he knows that Johnny shot him? Johnny would be shocked to think his father believes that about him. Is it time that Johnny sets EJ straight so that EJ can focus on finding the real shooter? Something tells us that Rachel knows more than she has been letting on...

At the hospital that EJ now owns, Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) is wide awake and talking, but he does not want to talk about Xander. He is insisting that Xander (Paul Telfer) was not the person to do this to him, but nobody believes him — especially not Belle (Martha Madison).

When Belle visits Philip to get the truth out of him, Philip sticks to his story. Belle asks Philip why he is lying, but Philip remains mum. He is not about to implicate Xander.

Is he trying to cover for his brother because he feels bad about everything that happened with the forged letter and the Versavix heist gone wrong? Or does Philip genuinely believe it wasn't Xander? Could his memory be foggy or did someone else walk into his Salem Inn room after Xander left?

Xander has also denied beating Philip, but we saw him start a beating. Did another person finish it, or is Philip truly trying to make amends with this big lie? Maybe Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) can get to the bottom of things when she once again fights with her husband.
