Days of our Lives Spoilers, June 4: Bittersweet family reunions bring the tears

What to expect on Days of our Lives

Salem is awash in tears as news of John Black's (the late Drake Hogestyn) death spreads far and wide. More family members gather around Marlena (Deidre Hall) in her darkest hour, including Eric (Greg Vaughan), Will (Chandler Massey), Carrie (Christie Clark), and Johnny (Carson Boatman).

Marlena's children and grandchildren offer comfort during the most difficult time in Marlena's life. John was loved by so many, and everyone is devastated by his death.

John's son, Paul (Christopher Sean), is not sure how to handle his upcoming wedding plans, but Paul and Andrew (Colton Little) decide that John wouldn't have wanted them to delay their wedding. So, they decide to forge ahead with their nuptials anyway, despite the bittersweet feeling in the air.

In a rehab facility away from Salem, Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and her family learn of John's tragic death and couldn't be more grateful for his sacrifice. He was determined to be the hero that saved Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) — and he was.

Thanks to John, Bo is back with his family for the first time in a decade. Get the tissues ready as Shawn (Brandon Beemer) tells Hope about John's death, and they remember the man who gave them back their Bo.

The day becomes even more memorable when Bo meets his two young grandchildren. Ciara (Victoria Konefal) arrives with little Bo and her new baby, Addie. Ciara and Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) are proud parents of two beautiful children named for their grandfather and great-grandmother.

Hope can barely believe she has her family back. She never thought she would see this day as she sat by Bo's side for two long years. All those hours of willing him to wake were not for nothing.

Bo also can't believe his family is still there. He was gone for 10 long years, and for eight of them, Hope, Shawn, and Ciara believed he was dead and buried. Having Bo back is like a dream come true for the Brady clan and fans alike. Hope held out for her hero and now he is back.
