Days of our Lives Spoilers, May 14: It's Rachel Black's birthday! What could go wrong?

What to expect on Days of our Lives

Rachel Black's (Alice Halsey) birthday doesn't exactly go as planned, which breaks the precocious young girl's heart. Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) already explained to Brady (Eric Martsold) that Rachel invited a variety of girls to her birthday party, but every single one of them declined the invite, even Rachel's BFF, Nora Jane.

Kristen and Brady are still determined to make the day special for their daughter, which means a tea party full of adults in the DiMera living room. The day looks like it takes on an Alice in Wonderland theme, with Kristen dressed as Alice and Brady as the Mad Hatter. Belle (Martha Madison) and EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) are also in attendance, with EJ getting into the spirit of things and putting on a beanie with a propeller.

However, it also appears Rachel has some sort of meltdown on her big day. Something tells us she knows a little more about what happened to her newfound grandmother than she has been letting on. Does she know a secret about Uncle EJ?

Will Xander win the hospital?

Way too many people are now after the hospital and its new miracle drug that can cure sepsis. Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Shawn (Brandon Beemer) plan to steal the drug, but Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) has the same idea and meets with his old friend Kevin to figure out how to break into the lab.

EJ and Xander (Paul Telfer) are determined to get their hands on the drug and the hospital. Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) does not want EJ involved at all, but he is already taking the matter to the board. She is much more interested in Xander possibly buying the hospital and is ready to hear him out after talking to Sarah (Linsey Godfrey).

Kayla also learns that Xander wants a favor. Does he ask her to go to bat for him with the board? Since Kayla is determined to never have to work for EJ, she might be willing to make a deal with Xander if he can promise her he won't harm the hospital at all.
