Marlena (Deidre Hall) was overjoyed when Shane (Charles Shaughnessy) called to tell her that Andrew (Colton Little) and Paul (Christopher Sean) were closer than ever to locating John (the late Drake Hogestyn). She wakes up the next morning, anxious to hear more news, but sure that John will be coming home soon.

Marlena meets with her old pal Susan (Stacy Haiduk) for a planned breakfast in Horton Town Square, where EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) interrupts them to talk to his mother. That's when Marlena gets another call telling her that John has been found. However, when she delivers this news to Susan, her friend's reaction is not as excited as she expects.

Psychic Susan gets a really bad feeling and tells Marlena that it feels like someone just walked over her grave. Marlena is alarmed as she knows how Susan's feelings usually turn into something real. Is Marlena's joy about to turn into her ultimate heartache? Will Shane call with the news she has been dreading hearing for months?

About that Versavix

Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Shawn (Brandon Beemer) are beside themselves after their Versavix heist went awry. They can't believe they had the perfect plan, but someone else had an even better plan because the Versavix is gone.

They regroup with Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) in her office, where they also have to deal with Dr. Russell (Michael Dietz), who returns from Chicago a day early. He suspects Kayla had something to do with the lab break-in, considering her interest in Versavix. Kayla denies any wrongdoing, and she is technically not lying since Steve and Shawn failed in their mission.

Kevin (Chadwick Hopson) and Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) are a panicked mess because their plan was not better than Steve and Shawn's, since Kevin ended up taking all the Versavix. Now, Dr. Russell knows there was a theft, and he might suspect his lab assistant. They need to find a way to put the other doses of Versavix back, but with Dr. Russell already on the warpath, that will be easier said than done. With Bo (Peter Reckell) running out of time, all these thieves had better hurry.
