Days of our Lives Spoilers, May 19: Can Philip survive Xander's violent wrath?

When Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) first learned that Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) and Vivian (Louise Sorel) had forged the letter from Victor (the late John Aniston) and Philip was not entitled to Titan at all, she feared that Xander (Paul Telfer) would kill Philip if he ever found out what his brother had done. Well, Xander lasted about two weeks but finally cracked.

On Monday, he beats Philip to within an inch of his life and leaves him bloodied and battered on the floor of Philip's Salem Inn room. Kate (Lauren Koslow) finds her son in this precarious condition and tries to get him help immediately. Will she quickly deduce that Xander is the one who did this and vow to get revenge?

Kate is a fierce protector of all her many children, especially her youngest, Philip. It's a good thing she always keeps that fun handy. Philip may survive the wrath of Xander, but will Xander survive the wrath of Kate? Plus, what will his actions do to Xander's marriage?

Steve and Shawn won't give up

Shawn (Brandon Beemer) and Steve (Stephen Nichols) managed to convince Dr. Jeffrey Russell (Michael Dietz) that they were not the ones who stole the Versavix from his lab. While that may technically be true, they did break in with that intention. Dr. Russell does not know that, so he has enlisted their help to find out who ended up with the coveted drug.

Steve and Shawn devise another plan using Steve's security footage hack to get to the bottom of things. Whoever has the Versavix can help save Bo (Peter Reckell). They just have to find the person. Too bad that person is waiting on new instructions from a very indisposed Philip.

Will Xander's temper end up costing Bo his life? His condition is getting worse by the hour, and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) feels they are running out of time. Steve and Shawn have quite a mystery on their hands, and Philip might be the only one who could solve it. Will he be conscious enough to even offer answers?
