What to expect on Days of our Lives
Just as DAYS is about to turn 60 and Hortons will be flooding Salem, something shocking occurs. Both Thomas (Christopher Cary) and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) see Chad (Billy Flynn) talking to Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) in Horton Town Square and jump to the wrong conclusions. Fearing that Chad wants to reunite with Cat, Thomas takes his father to task.
Thomas begins screaming at Chad in front of everyone and accuses him of only caring for Cat and putting her above everyone else. Jennifer tries to calm Thomas down while Chad attempts to get through to his young son, but to no avail. Thomas is furious and convinced his dad is betraying Abigail's memory.
That's when Thomas runs off into oncoming traffic. Chad and Jennifer look on as we hear tires screech and start shouting for Thomas. Does he get hit by a car, or is it a near miss?
The Brady and Horton clans had to say goodbye to a little boy years ago when Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope's (Kristian Alfonso) son, Zack, was hit by a car. Could history be repeating itself with young Thomas DiMera?
The mad scientist is back
Elsewhere in Salem, EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) and Gwen (Emily O'Brien) prepare for the big gala, which is mainly a cover for whatever experiments are going on in EJ's secret lab. Gwen gets a new assignment, as her role during the gala is to keep everyone away from the clinic, which will double as a new home for none other than Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton).
Yes, Dr. Rolf is back in town and meets with EJ to discuss whatever weird science Rolf has come up with now. Rolf always has something interesting in store, and it's usually something death-defying.

EJ introduces Rolf to Dr. Mark Greene (Jonah Robinson), who will also be working in this secret lab. Mark doesn't quite know what he has gotten himself into yet, but he just wants a job after his brief prison stint. If he can't be a doctor for the time being, maybe he a lab assistant. Does Mark realize what he is getting himself into?
