Days of our Lives Spoilers, September 2: The moment of truth (and lies) for Brady and Tate

Here are your Days of our Lives spoilers for Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

Brady (Eric Martsolf) now knows that something is seriously wrong with the story Sophia (Rachel Boyd) told Brady and Tate (Leo Howard) about what really happened to the baby she gave birth to. While the lawyer's story kinda made sense, the photo in the picture frame that Marlena (Deidre Hall) bought Rachel (Alice Halsey) speaks a thousand words.

What looked like a stock photo really is a stock photo, so Tate now discovers that he still has not seen what his child looks like. Brady tells Tate how he's been suspicious of Sophia's story for a while, especially after she referred to the baby as a boy when she claimed she had a girl.

While Brady and Tate try to get to the bottom of things, Melinda tries to calm Sophia. When Melinda (Tina Huang) tells Sophia that Brady was asking questions, Sophia confesses that she accidentally referred to the baby as a boy. Now, Melinda knows they will have to do a whole lot more to cover their tracks.

About that kiss...

Chad (Billy Flynn) and Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) have been dancing around their feeling for one another for months. Chad is pretty sure that Cat still has feelings for him, considering that she pulled him in for a passionate kiss when she was high on cold medicine. They took care of one another after a bout with strep throat, but that kiss was never discussed.

Now, they have no choice but to discuss kissing because there was no medication involved with their lip lock while playing mini-golf. They were both in their right minds for that, so now it's time to face that something is happening between them. Chad finally has to admit that he feels something for Cat, and it's more than just friendship.

Chad's life is about to get infinitely more complicated since Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) are expected in town by the end of the week. Will he have to tell his in-laws that he is now in a romantic relationship with the woman who impersonated their dead daughter?
