Days of our Lives Spoilers, September 25: A blackout takes over Salem

What to expect on Days of our Lives

When Salemites get caught in the dark, anything can happen. Belle (Martha Madison) and EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) take a cue from Chad (Billy Flynn) and Cat (AnnaLynn McCord) and get stuck in the hospital elevator together. The pair has barely spoken since Johnny's (Carson Boatman) trial, which blew up their entire relationship. When they end up in close quarters together, will one thing lead to another?

Xander (Paul Telfer) and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) also end up together as the blackout begins. Sarah has had hope for her marriage ever since Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) was adamant that Xander was not the one who attacked him, but can he get to a place of forgiveness when he knows he actually is guilty?

Marlena (Deidre Hall) has her own interesting evening when the lights go out at home and she passes out. Marlena has been having a hard time since John (the late Drake Hogestyn) died and is still worried about her soul. Sarah can't find anything wrong with Marlena's body, so it's possible her symptoms are in her head — or otherworldly, as tends to often happen in Salem.

Dorm room shenanigans

Sophia (Rachel Boyd) is determined to make sure that Johnny and Chanel (Raven Bowens) do not end up adopting her baby and takes steps to get revenge on her film professor. She is not thinking of Chanel or the baby and is acting out of anger.

When she makes it to the dorm, she has a run-in with Ari (Marissa Reyes) in the hall, where they discuss the Tate (Leo Howard) situation. Ari just wants her two best friends to get along, so is that why she invites Sophia into her and Holly's dorm room?

While there, Sophia plays a dirty trick and pours booze into Holly's red solo cup, causing Holly to get sick and pass out. She then makes sure to take photos of Holly in a compromising position. Is this all a plot to get Holly kicked out of college for underage drinking in the dorms? Sophia will clearly stop at nothing to land Tate.
