EJ's (Daniel Feuerriegel) idea to fiddle around with the electricity outside his new clinic has resulted in darkness falling on Salem. Now, EJ and Belle (Martha Madison) are stuck in a hospital elevator together, Sophia is stuck in a dorm room, and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) and Xander (Paul Telfer) are stuck in a bedroom, but that's not all.

Stephanie (Abigail Klein) does her virtual Q & A session to promote One Stormy Night, but as she walks through he square in the dark following the session, she realizes that someone may be following her.

And she is right. A mysterious man is behind Stephanie, holding flowers, but what does he want? Is he yet another man from her past, as Stephanie has seemingly had so many? The last blast from her past ended up having DID. What will this one be like? Will he be a big problem for her latest romance?

Meanwhile, Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) is left in the dark with Felicity (Kennedy Garcia) and Chanel (Raven Bowens) at The Brady Pub. He makes sure to entertain them both with a bit of a light show when the lights won't work.

Sarah and Xander are alone in Xander's apartment, but Xander still has to convince Sarah to stay the night since the lights are out throughout Salem. Victoria is already there, so it will be like being a family again.

As Victoria sleeps, Sarah and Xander bond some more as one thing seems to lead to another. Will they end up in bed or wil one of them stop?

Sarah is still a little hesitant about forging ahead with a reconciliation, while Xander knows their reunion would be based on a lie. He really did attack Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) and nearly killed his brother. Xander is lucky that Philip never pressed charges and keeps lying to Sarah and the police for him.

If Sarah were to learn the truth, Xander knows there will be no going back, but does he have the emotional courage to finally be honest for a change?
