Deborah Norville left Inside Edition earlier this year, but she's still getting scoops! The actress has revealed that her longtime pal Deidre Hall, beloved as Marlena on Days of our Lives, is presenting her with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Daytime Emmys on Friday, October 17.

Norville took her Instagram followers inside the Pasadena Convention Center to give viewers an inside peek into the 52nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. "We're here inside the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, where tomorrow the Daytime Emmys are happening, and this is the set," Norville narrated. "They're still setting up stuff, but what's so cool, come over here, take a look."

Norville guided her followers to the seats where both Hall and she would be seated. (They're in the front row, of course!) "This is where my dear, dear friend Deidre Hall is gonna be sitting," shared Norville, adding, "Deidre, the legend of daytime television, is gonna be presenting my award to me, and this is so cool."

Showing a poster of herself on a seat, Norville continued, "And, look who's here, right in the middle, front and center! I'm so excited to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award -- it is something I never, ever contemplated, but tomorrow is the day!"

Hall and Norville have something in common in the soap world -- The Young and the Restless! Hall appeared in the CBS soap's premiere episode as Barbara in 1973. Norville played herself on the show in 2003, in a scene with Mitzi Kapture (Anita Hodges).

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced in August that Norville would be receiving the honor. The journalist's remarkable career has spanned more than 45 years, including three decades as Inside Edition's anchor. Under her leadership, the newsmagazine TV show became the nation's number one daily newsmagazine and one of the top five programs in first-run syndication.

"It’s an honor to celebrate Deborah Norville’s extraordinary career,” said Adam Sharp, President and CEO, NATAS, in a statement. “Her legacy extends beyond her historic tenure; she’s brought intelligence, integrity, and compassion to her reporting, shaping how millions of viewers understand the world around them.”

"The Lifetime Achievement Honor is an extraordinary capstone," Deborah Norville said in a statement, "and I am grateful to NATAS, my colleagues, and the viewers who have welcomed me into their homes for so many years.”
