It was great to see Emily O’Brien return to Days of Our Lives recently as Theresa Donovan. She’s done a great job taking over for Jen Lilley, and the fans have accepted her as the new Theresa. Viewers will be getting a double dose of O’Brien this year as she’s also returning soon to play the plucky Gwen Rizczech. And if her brief stints on the soap weren’t enough to satisfy fans, she’s got another show that she proudly shared on social media.
She appreciated the support
O’Brien’s Days of Our Lives co-star Paul Telfer (Xander) shared some photos on Instagram and wrote, “Had an absolute blast supporting superstar @emroya at the premiere for season four of @lovedeathandrobots ! ⭐️🤖⭐️. The new eps are absolutely incredible, esp the one Emily stars in: SPIDER ROSE.” The pics were of Telfer and O’Brien with their significant others attending a theatrical presentation of the show. He continued, “And it was supercool to see the QnA with @gdtreal interviewing David Fincher, Jennifer Yuh Nelson, and Tim Miller - the geek in me was very grateful for the invitation Em! Thanks so much : ).”
According to the Love, Death & Robots IMDb page, the Netflix series is “A collection of animated short stories that spans various genres including science fiction, fantasy, horror, and comedy.” The show was created by Tim Miller, who directed the hit Deadpool in 2016. The award-winning show has a great cast of voice actors that includes Kevin Hart, Jennifer Garner, and General Hospital’s Parry Shen (Brad), among many others.
O’Brien chimed in with the gracious comment, “Having you and Carmen by my side made it so much more special :) Love you both, thank you endlessly for your support! X.” Many Days of Our Lives co-stars also responded with loving emojis, and Eric Martsolf (Brady) commented, “Amazing. Way to go Em.”
The highlight of her career
In a separate post by O’Brien, the Days of Our Lives actress shared several shots of her on the carpet at the show’s premiere, along with a picture of the Q&A session, and a shot of her character, Eve. She captioned them, “The LDR season 4 premiere was nothing short of fantastic! I’m beyond proud to have collaborated on 3 seasons now with the genius minds of David Fincher, Tim Miller and my mastermind director Jennifer Yuh Nelson. I’m so grateful. What a dream team…”
She also thanked Blur Studio and Netflix, remarking, “Having the opportunity to play your Spider Rose has been one of the highlights of my career.” Her thanks continued with, “Thank you to @ivyisenbergcasting for instilling your trust in me with such a complex and beautiful role. And thank you to the best triple date a gal can ask for - Ken, Paul & Carmen, your support meant everything to me! I can’t wait for you all to see this season drop on @netflix May 15th! It will knock your socks off!”
Days of Our Lives' Telfer happily responded with, “Brava Emily!! 🤘🤖🤘,” and many more co-stars sent loving emojis, including, Rikaart and Martsolf again, Robert Scott Wilson (Alex), and Tina Huang (Melinda) who replied, “👏👏👏 also @feochin congrats!” @feochin is the handle of actor Feodor Chin who appeared in the show as well as one of O’Brien’s photos.
Days of Our Lives can be found on the Peacock app.
