Paul (Christopher Sean) and Andrew (Colton Little) are getting married on Days of Our Lives. Originally, Paul hoped that his dad, John, would be in attendance. Unfortunately, John was killed after rescuing the serum that would ultimately save Bo (Peter Reckell) from death by sepsis. But now that John’s funeral is behind everybody, it’s time to move forward with a happy occasion, and Paul and Andrew stepped up to the plate.
Fans loved the peek
“A little fun peek behind the scenes for all of you. #DOOL #Days #DaysofourLives,” was written on the official Days of Our Lives Instagram page. It was accompanied by a video that showed the actors on the set of the wedding ceremony. Iconic star Stephen Nichols (Steve) was seen actively moving about among the actors, taking video with his phone. Just off camera were several other behind-the-scenes folks doing the same thing.
A fan, going by @bellaroseandfam, enthusiastically wrote, “Best cast and crew. Love seeing the behind-the-scenes. So excited for Andrew and Paul. I will be crying happy tears.” After the hardship of not only John’s loss - and that of his late portrayer, Drake Hogestyn - @running_los_619 commented, “The cast needs a little bit of sunshine. This is nice.” Another fan, @johnmarlena_always, wrote what many other viewers have asked for over the years, with the comment, “Dear DAYS, you should show more footage like this. I would love to see how scenes come together when they are being taped.”
Fans want more Paul and Andrew
Some of the fans mentioned that they still expected to see John in the wedding gathering, and lamented the fact that Hogestyn would not be able to appear with his castmates and TV son, Paul. @jordanjanceski echoed what others were saying with, “It’s great to see what happens behind the taping in the studios of the show Days of Our Lives. Thanks for sharing.” @marhanjarlenafan expressed the fact that they want to see more Andrew and Paul in frontburner storylines, commenting, “I need this happy occasion right now. Can't wait to see Paul & Andrew get married. Now bring them back to Salem permanently.”
