William Shatner tunes in to DAYS; tweets reactions of current story and comments on possible cameo appearance

Legendary Star Trek actor William Shatner (Captain Kirk) has gone where no sci-fi actor has gone before: on a Twitter rant over current episodes of Days of our Lives.

They say space is the final frontier, but it seems the world of soap operas is equally exciting to explore. Or so that was the case for iconic Star Trek actor William Shatner (Captain Kirk), who tuned in to last week's episodes of Days of our Lives and shared his bemused opinions via Twitter.

"BTW @nbcdays I've recorded a few episodes to see what it's all about. #interesting," he began on Tuesday, November 24, following with: "I watched some guy die in a park, nobody called 911 and the woman who was with him pulled up the bushes."

A fellow tweeter responded by writing, "It breaks my heart to hear William Shatner refer to Bo as 'some guy,' and Hope as 'the woman,'" to which Shatner responded: "I'm a newbie and you are lucky I didn't give them nicknames. Then you'd really be chuffed."

Soon after that post, a Bope fan jumped in on the conversation to school Shatner, pointing out that Bo and Hope "was the greatest love story on TV ever," which made the sci-fi actor point out that he'd probably give that honor to General Hospital's Luke (Anthony Geary) and Laura (Genie Francis). Oh, snap!

But that's not all. The Hollywood star also commented on the dark storyline involving Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Abigail (Kate Mansi), writing, "Watched @nbcdays some couple in a cabin wanted so much privacy that they had a baby and then shot the nurse! And they say *I* do sci-fi?"

Shatner's entertaining DAYS tweets continued that he follows James Scott (ex-EJ DiMera), thinks Billy Flynn (Chad DiMera) deserves more respect, thinks Mansi could have improved her labor skills, and agrees that Wilson is a "beef cake."

The fan chatter that followed led to one viewer suggesting that Shatner make an appearance on the NBC daytime drama, but the actor halted the wishful-thinking scenario from taking off at warp speed. "I go from watching a couple episodes to a cameo? #slowdown," he teased.
