Days of our Lives actor Freddie Smith (Sonny Kiriakis) gives fans a virtual tour of Salem, from the studio entrance, to the hair and makeup room, to the dressing rooms of the stars, and beyond.

If you've ever wanted to know what it feels like to work at Days of our Lives, then a new video made by Freddie Smith (Sonny Kiriakis) is the perfect thing to help you jump into the world of Salem. The actor has put together a virtual tour of his work day, and -- speaking from experience as journalists who've visited numerous times -- it's a solid representation of what it's like on set at the NBC soap opera.

At just over twelve minutes long, Smith's behind-the-scenes video begins with the actor's drive to work and his arrival at the Burbank Studios, where DAYS is filmed. From there, he takes viewers through the halls of the building and into several rooms, like the hangout space where extras can chill, the hair and makeup department, the wardrobe department, and into some of the stars' dressing rooms -- including his own.

From there, he takes viewers to some of the show's most popular sets, including the Horton Town Square, the Brady Pub, and the Salem Police Department. He also shows viewers what's at the top of the stairs in the Kiriakis mansion (spoiler alert: not much!).

Check out Smith's virtual tour of DAYS below and let us know what you think in the Comments section at the end of the article.

Smith joined DAYS in 2011 and played Sonny -- the first openly gay contract character on the NBC series -- until 2015. He returned to the show in 2016 and has been playing Justin and Adrienne's son ever since.

In addition to working at DAYS, Smith hosts a podcast with his fiancée, Alyssa Tabit, called The Freddie and Alyssa Show, which you can find on iTunes here.
