Forget about the sun. The real thing that's going to be causing burns in Salem this summer is the return of troublemaker Claire Brady. As it turns out, portrayer Olivia Rose Keegan is making her way back to Days of our Lives.
Soap Opera Digest reports that the actress will be stepping back into Claire's shoes later this summer. Her return is said to coincide with that of the character's parents, Belle (Martha Madison) and Shawn (Brandon Beemer), who are also reportedly set to come back to Salem during the warmer months.
As viewers may recall, Shawn and Belle had to rush home to Salem from Hong Kong last year after Claire went off the rails, committing several arsons and attempted murders. The concerned parents helped their daughter settle into the Bayview mental health facility. Beemer returned to the canvas earlier this year for a storyline involving Shawn's mother, Hope (Kristian Alfonso), and Princess Gina. Meanwhile, Keegan returned for a special Halloween episode in 2019.
Beemer made his debut as Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) and Hope Brady's son in 2006, taking over for Jason Cook, who departed the soap earlier that year. Beemer left the role in 2008, and DAYS decided to re-hire Jason Cook when Shawn-Douglas returned to Salem for DAYS' 50th anniversary in 2015. However, Cook's reprisal of the role was short-lived, and Beemer stepped back into the role in 2016.
Madison made her DAYS debut in 2004 and played the character until 2008. She returned in 2015 and has made on-again, off-again appearances since that time.
Keegan joined DAYS as Belle and Shawn's musically inclined daughter in 2015, when the fictional teen moved back to Salem from Hong Kong. She exited the NBC drama in 2019.
At this time, there's no information as to how long Shawn, Belle, and Claire will be back in Salem or what brings them back to the canvas.
