Get ready for A Christmas & Postre, a Latinx holiday film directed by Brittany Underwood (ex-Langston Wilde, One Life to Live) that stars Camila Banus (Gabi Hernandez, Days of our Lives), Mark Hapka (ex-Nathan Horton, DAYS), and David Fumero (ex-Cristian Vega, OLTL).

There are new details that will make A Christmas & Postre, a super sweet holiday film being cooked up by a daytime alum, an even sweeter treat. As Soap Central reported back in April, the Latinx film is the directorial debut of Brittany Underwood (ex-Langston Underwood, OLTL). But more exciting news was recently revealed: the fun movie features Camila Banus (Gabi Hernandez, Days of our Lives), Mark Hapka (ex-Nathan Horton, DAYS), and David Fumero (ex-Cristian Vega, One Life to Live)!

According to Deadline, A Christmas & Postre follows Banus in the leading role of Carmen, a quirky and lovable pastry chef who dreams of one day opening her very own Puerto Rican postre (Spanish for dessert) shop like the one her family owned on the island. In the meantime, she showcases her treats at a local coffee shop, Coqui, where she works with her sister, Pilar.

When local hotel owner Victor Flores (Fumero) discovers Carmen's talents, her offers her a coveted pastry chef position for his grand holiday event known for bolstering the careers of pastry chefs. Carmen is paired with perfectionist chef Jax (Hapka), whom she frequently disagrees with. As they race against the clock to assemble their intricate holiday menu, Carmen and Jax realize they have a lot to learn from one another and eventually come together to create a truly inspired menu just in time for Christmas.

Cristina Boada wrote the script for A Christmas & Postre while Autumn Federici and Jake Helgren produced the Christmas film under their production company, The Ninth House.

"Can't wait for you guys to see my directorial debut!!" shared Underwood on Instagram. "Thanks @ninthhousefilms @autumnfederici @jakehelgren and @marvistaent for believing in me and giving me this opportunity, forever grateful.Huge shoutout to our amazing cast and crew on this one!!"

Wrote Hapka, "Got to make this fun holiday flick with the homie, @camila ! Also had the pleasure of being directed by my long-time friend, @britt_underwood (this was her directorial debut!). Big thanks to @autumnfederici , @jakehelgren , @ninthhousefilms, and @marvistaent for trusting me with another one of their projects. It's always an adventure and a pleasure."

Brittany Underwood played the role of OLTL's Langston from 2006 to 2012 and later went on to star in projects like Youthful Daze, The Bay, 2nd Chance for Christmas, and the intense 2021 thriller Off the Grid. Helming A Christmas & Postre has brought the actress' long-held dream of directing to life, and she enthused upon kicking off the project earlier this year that she was on "cloud nine."

Camila Banus originally took on the role of DAYS' Gabi Hernandez in 2010 and has played the character on-again, off-again since that time. Her other credits include Star, Mistresses, and One Life to Live (where she played the role of Lola Montez from 2008 to 2009).

Mark Hapka starred as DAYS' Nathan Horton from 2007 to 2011. Some of his other credits include Ghost Whisperer: The Other Side, Cold Case, ACME Saturday Night, Hannah Montana, and Beacon Hill.

David Fumero played the role of OLTL's Cristian Vega from 1998 until the soap's cancellation in 2011. His other credits include Power, NCIS: Los Angeles, Chicago Fire, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
