Days of our Lives star Kyle Lowder has announced that he's back to work, and many fans are thinking he'll soon be returning as Rex Brady.

Could Kyle Lowder be returning as Days of our Lives' Rex Brady? A photo recently shared by the actor sure has everyone hoping so!

Lowder took to Instagram Stories with a snap of himself in what kind of looks to be the hair and makeup room at DAYS, and he sparked return rumors with the pic's caption, which simply read, "Back to work."

The Missouri native was last seen in Salem in the spring of this year, when Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) donned a Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) mask and seduced Rex. The con was part of a long and complicated plot that Kristen hoped would break up Sarah and Xander and ultimately prevent Sarah from blabbing that Kristen had manipulated her way out of jail and was posing as Susan. The plan worked (at least partially) because Xander believed that Sarah had cheated on him, and the whole town now believes that Sarah ran off with Rex -- when in reality, Kristen drugged her and dumped her off in a crate on DiMera Island!

Now, if Rex returns to Salem sans Sarah, people will start to wonder what really happened to Maggie's daughter. And speaking of Maggie, portrayer Suzanne Rogers recently returned to the NBC soap opera after a long hiatus, which is just another hint that the Sarah/Rex/Xander storyline might soon be heating up again. Fans will have to keep tuning in to DAYS to find out if it does!

Are you hoping that Kyle Lowder is indeed returning to DAYS? Do you think Rex's return will bring about the return of Sarah, as well? How would you like to see Rex written into storylines again? We want to hear from you -- and there are many ways you can share your thoughts.
