Days of our Lives is bringing Jennifer Horton back to the canvas, with Melissa Reeves set to be back on-screen as her longtime alter ego very soon.

Days of our Lives fans were happy to see the return of Matthew Ashford's Jack Deveraux earlier this week, and the character's wife, Jennifer, won't be far behind. Soap Central reported that Melissa Reeves would be reprising her role as Abigail's mom this March, and we can now confirm that she will be back on-screen the week of February 28.

As viewers may recall, Reeves's Jennifer was last seen on the screen this past December and January, when the character made a brief return for the holidays. She decided to go back to Boston after Christmas, this time taking Jack with her, but the pair has been lured back to Salem due to the disappearance of their daughter, Abby (Marci Miller).

Reeves and Ashford's returns come hot on the heels of the news that DAYS is bringing actors Chandler Massey, Zach Tinker, and Greg Rikaart back as Salemites Will Horton, Sonny Kiriakis, and Leo Stark, respectively. For more on the trio's return and to see a preview of what's ahead, click here.

Reeves has been playing the role of Jennifer since 1985, but she temporarily left the show in 2020 due to the COVID crisis; the NBC soap choose All My Children alum Cady McClain (ex-Dixie Cooney) as a replacement until Reeves felt ready to return to work.
