Former Days of our Lives actor Mark Hapka (ex-Nathan Horton) has landed the role of Johnny Depp in the upcoming Tubi film Hot Take: The Depp/Heard Trial. Hapka was cast as Depp opposite actress Megan Davis, who will portray Depp's ex-wife Amber Heard. The film is set to premiere on the streaming service on September 30.

According to Soap Opera Digest, the film will follow the relationship between Depp and Heard. The celebrity couple and their highly publicized divorce have kept the Internet, social media, and tabloids aflutter with gossip for over a year.

Hapka made his daytime debut on DAYS in 2009 when he originated the role of Nathan Horton, the son of Melissa Horton, and Maggie Horton's grandson. Kapka left Salem in 2011 when his character was written out.

Since leaving DAYS, Kapka has starred in numerous projects, including the 2015 Netflix film Parallels, as well as 2013's Beyond the Mat. Most recently, Kapka starred as the main character in the 2021 comedy film Scrambled.
