Welcome to the Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What happened on Days of our Lives

There's something to be said for Sami and Rafe. Frankly, they seem to be the only two people who can put a smile on each other's face. Sami and Rafe can't seem to stay away from each other whenever she is in town, and as Sami said on Monday, her relationship with Rafe was the healthiest one she has ever had. Even today, Sami was joyous after Javi caught her and Rafe in bed together. It wasn't clandestine, and she didn't have to hide. She and Rafe were free to be together if they wanted to and didn't need to feel any shame at all. How is that for a change of pace? They were fun, happy, and playful, something often lacking on soaps. Rafe's romances also never seem to work out, and he always somehow ends up in bed with Sami. We would love to think of their little not-so-secret tryst as the start of something new, but we know that Sami is never in town for long. She invited Rafe to return to Italy with her, but both knew that wouldn't be right. So, while Sami and Rafe will take a little piece of each other to cherish, we have to settle for a little piece of them. Sami comes and goes as she pleases, and Rafe is always there. We just don't get to see them together long-term, and for that, we are sorry.
