Welcome to the Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What happened on Days of our Lives

We all know soap shooting mysteries can't be solved that easily, or where would the drama and suspense be? That's why we think EJ seeing Johnny with a gun on that surveillance video has to be a false flag. He does not see Johnny shoot, and the audience didn't see any visual evidence that EJ was even in the chair when Johnny entered the living room with a gun. Couldn't Johnny have shown up with a gun earlier when nobody else was around? Maybe EJ was there and talked Johnny out of shooting, but he just can't remember the details of that fateful night. Then again, Johnny could be the culprit, and the heightened drama could be EJ covering the truth for his son's sake. He knows how broken Johnny was when he learned the truth of his conception and might understand that Johnny just snapped in a moment of temporary insanity. With Johnny as the culprit, it could also explain how erratic he has been of late and why he can't bring himself to adopt Tate and Sophia's baby. He has seemed much more tortured than the other suspects, so perhaps he did shoot his father after all. With a big trial slated for the coming months, perhaps EJ frames someone to take the heat off of Johnny. That would be a courtroom twist we didn't see coming — until now.
