The Young and the Restless characters Phyllis and Cane are about to reach a new understanding. However, can these two power players truly come to terms on how to move forward? Michelle Stafford, who plays Phyllis, is speaking out on what viewers might be able to expect next!
Power player Phyllis, The Young and the Restless

Phyllis reaching a new understanding with Cane (Billy Flynn) doesn't necessarily mean they'll be getting along. Perhaps the fiery redhead's new deal means that she can't trust Cane at all? "Hey, listen," Stafford told Soap Opera Digest. "She's so over people treating her like crap." Moving forward, Phyllis wants to take over Genoa City. That's what she's hoping to get.
Phyllis was on board with Cane when he planned to use the Artificial Intelligence software as a means to take over Newman Enterprises, Jabot Cosmetics, and other big companies in town. Alas, Cane changed his mind, and now, Phyllis is realizing that she may work best as a solo operator.
Watch for Phyllis to have her own plan -- one that doesn't involve trust. Phyllis believes that she's smarter than everyone else in Genoa City, so if Cane comes at her with her resources, she will have to take him down if necessary.
In like Flynn

Cane and Phyllis may not always see eye to eye, but Stafford has nothing but raves for Flynn. She is fond of his energy and directness. Watch for an upcoming scene in which Cane orders Phyllis to take a seat; that's not something most characters on Y&R can get away with saying and live to tell about it!
Although Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) would probably succeed in ordering Phyllis to sit down! Stafford is aware that Phyllis turning on Cane could come back to haunt her. But she's been backed into a corner as she wants to establish herself as a power player. Phyllis may be at the end of her rope. First, she melted down at Christine's (Lauralee Bell) engagement party. In a way, she's fighting for her life.
Will Phyllis succeed in outwitting Billy, or will she succeed in perhaps seeing that they would do well to form a business partnership? Tune in to find out!
