Days of our Lives' Alison Sweeney (Sami Brady) has had an illustrious career in daytime, written a couple of books, graced the cover of countless magazines, hosted The Biggest Loser, and starred in numerous films. But she's about to break new ground with her latest role: acting as star and executive producer of Hallmark's new film Love On the Air.
The beloved DAYS star, who will be returning to Salem for the NBC soap's 50th anniversary, debuts in the Hallmark Original Movie that she helmed on Saturday, September 26. The romantic film follows Sweeney as a radio host who accepts a new hosting gig in Chicago to be closer to her boyfriend. Unfortunately, the move leads to the quick demise of her picture-perfect relationship. And matters only get worse when she shares her troubles with a colleague (Jonathan Scarf), unaware that he's a competing shock jock. The two are later forced to work together, and they quickly discover that they have more in common than their radio personas reveal.
In addition to Love On the Air, Sweeney has also starred in Hallmark's Second Chances and Murder She Baked: A Chocolate Chip Murder Mystery (which also starred All My Children alum Cameron Mathison). Sweeney recently announced her departure as host of NBC's weight loss reality series, The Biggest Loser.
Catch the world premiere of Love On the Air on Saturday, September 26, at 9PM ET/PT, 8PM C, on Hallmark Channel. And for more information on the film, check out the movie's official website.
