Fans of Brandon Beemer's Days of our Lives' character, Shawn Brady, can breathe a sigh of relief because the actor has returned to the NBC drama series after having been let go earlier this year.
According to Daytime Confidential, the powers that be realized they made a boo-boo by firing Beemer shortly after he'd started working under a new phase of his contract.
"They made a mistake with Brandon," a set side source told the site. "They tried to fire him when he was just a few days into a new cycle. They would have had to pay him out for 26 weeks or use him, so they're using him."

Unfortunately for Shawn, he'll have to face a future in Salem alone. His on-screen love, Belle (Martha Madison), is still slated to leave the canvas this summer as the result of a "casting bloodbath" that saw her, Beemer, Sal Stowers (Lani Price), and Marie Wilson (Summer) all cut from the canvas at the same time.
