DAYS casting: Valerie's getting a son with a rumored Horton family connection

Valerie Grant's son is reportedly on the way to Days of our Lives, and it seems he's got a Horton family connection.

Remember the Days of our Lives casting call for a funny, quick-witted, protective, intelligent Black character named Levi who's everything a woman could want in a man? The call went out in July, and rumor has it the guy described is Valerie Grant's (Vanessa Williams) son!

Serial Scoop reports that the doctor's supposed son is connected to the Horton family, which has sparked rumors that Levi was perhaps fathered by Valerie's ex-lover, David Banning (last played by Greg Marx in 1982). As longtime fans of the show may recall, the relationship between Valerie and David (Julie Williams' son) was extremely controversial, as it was DAYS' first interracial couple.

But that's not all the juicy info the outlet is reporting about Valerie's son, Levi. The new character will also supposedly be crossing paths with Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) when he debuts early in 2017. Could the young adults form a relationship as exciting as David and Valerie's? Fans will have to keep watching to find out.

Do you think Valerie's son is on his way to Salem? What do you think about the character description? And how would you feel if David Banning and Valerie had a child together?
