Jen Lilley returns to DAYS
Days of our Lives is giving fans a fun holiday treat: Jen Lilley is returning as Theresa Donovan.

It seems a lot of Days of our Lives fans have been more nice than naughty this year, because their wish for Jen Lilley to return in the role of Theresa Donovan is coming true.

The Łber popular actress has reprised the character she walked away from in 2016 and will first air in May of 2018, Soap Opera Digest reports.

Lilley played the role of DAYS' mischievous Theresa for three years, having landed the part in 2013. Her exit came as a huge shock to fans that had become attached to both her and her love-to-hate Salem alter ego. But she promised at the time that she'd likely make a return in the future.

"It came down to time and the sacrifices required to keep Theresa on the front burner," she said of her decision to leave. "Given the demanding production schedule a soap requires, that just wasn't possible with the other commitments and opportunities I wanted to pursue. As we all know in the world of soaps, good bye for now isn't always good bye forever, who knows what the future has in store for Theresa."

With the troublemaking character headed back to the canvas, DAYS fans can likely look forward to lots of exciting storyline with Theresa's sister, Eve (Kassie DePaiva), and her baby daddy, Brady (Eric Martsolf).

UPDATE: Lilley took to Instagram to share a fun video complete with a "fugly" lemon cake -- oh, and confirmation of her return to the show. You can check it out below.
