Anyone who was waiting for Days of our Lives' Jan Spears to steal Santa's cookies and knock down Christmas trees this holiday season will have to hope for Grinch-like behavior from another troublemaking Salemite, because she's set to exit the canvas before the Yuletide season begins. But she might squash a wedding cake before she goes, which is the next best thing, right?!
According to Soap Opera Digest, portrayer Heather Lindell has taped her final scenes at the NBC drama, and Jan will be making her final on-screen appearance on Tuesday, November 24. With Belle (Martha Madison) and Shawn's (Brandon Beemer) wedding having begun today, there's quite a large chance that the shock Jan created during the nuptials will lead to her going out with a bang!
DAYS surprised viewers in September by having Sami (Alison Sweeney) orchestrate the return of Jan, who served as a witness against Nicole (Arianne Zucker) in the custody battle over Allie's (Lindsay Arnold) baby. While in Salem, Jan also befriended Claire (Isabel Durant) -- which ruffled Belle and Shawn's feathers because they've considered Jan their sworn enemy since the show's Last Blast storylines of the mid-2000s.
In addition to starring on DAYS from 2004 to 2005 and appearing in the soap's recent digital Last Blast Reunion special, Lindell played As the World Turns' Lynn in 2007. Her other credits include The Tanner, Sex Pose Man, and Rubicon.
