It's the week leading up to the biggest night of the year for daytime television. On May 16th, millions of viewers from around the world will tune in live to see which performers, crew members and programs are awarded television's highest honor - The Daytime Emmy.

All this week, Soap Opera Central is gearing up to the big night. We'll once again be providing you with exclusive coverage of this year's ceremony - complete with interviews, behind-the-scenes chatter and, of course, photographs.

Among the highlights of Emmy Week is our perennial attempt to play psychic: That's right - we're back again with more of our predictions of who we think will walk home with Emmy gold. We're not about to let a so-so record from last year deter us!

Plus, learn about some of the changes made to this year's Emmy nominating process. Did the new format work -- or do you think those deserving of an Emmy were still overlooked?

And if you'd like to see who Soap Opera Central visitors selected as the best of the year, don't forget to check in with our Dankies section - the only awards where the nominees and winners are selected by you, the soap opera fan.

Soap Opera Central will be broadcasting live from New York City's Madison Square Garden this year, but if you're not lucky enough to be in attendance, you can always catch the show on ABC starting at 8pm -- a special three-hour broadcast! -- this Friday, May 16th.
