While it truly is a pleasure just to be nominated -- who are we kidding? It's also pretty cool to get free stuff. For the eighth year in a row, Soap Central had a chance to peek inside the so-called swag bag -- the gifts given out to the Emmy presenters, nominees, and guests -- and we're letting our readers know what's hot so you can be ahead of the curve.
This year's gift bags included items that were far more practical, and less ostentatious, than previous years. In fact, for anyone who considers themselves a "foodie," this year's gift bag was something of a dream come true. However, that doesn't mean that every item in the gift bag was edible or that the swag lacked bling.
Off the Wall Productions was once again the official provider of the Official Emmy Gift Lounge and Gift Bag.

Imagine you're walking the Red Carpet, heading out for a special dinner, attending a wedding, or at some other occasion that requires you to be dressed to the nines. Or maybe you're taking a walk along the beach, strolling through the mall, or headed to a sports event where handbags are prohibited. Now imagine that you need to tote along your cellphone, makeup, keys, credit cards, and all the other things that one needs. Sure, you could carry around a handbag -- but why?
Perhaps the most ingenious idea that we've seen in some time, the GirlyGoGarter is a sexy, lacey garter that allows you to stash your essentials neatly and discreetly and completely out of sight. Using patented GentleFlex Grippers, the GirlyGoGarter holds up to three pounds in specially designed lock-flap pockets and is available in five colors -- nude, black, red, hot pink, and wedding blue. There are three different sizes available that fit ladies' pant sizes from 0 to 18.
GirlyGoGarther was created by Andy Paige, known for her "thrifty-chic" fashion fixes and budget beauty tips. She is also the author of the best selling book, Style On A Shoestring Budget.
