Nominees announced for Daytime Emmy Awards Lifestyle Programming ceremony

Numerous soap opera favorites made the list of nominees for the 48th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards in Lifestyle Programming, including A Martinez, Carolyn Hennesy, Sarah Joy Brown, Tristan Rogers, Mike Manning, Jacklyn Zeman, and more. The ceremony, which will stream in July, honors Digital Dramas, now dubbed "Daytime Fiction."

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) has released the list of nominees for the 48th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards in Lifestyle Programming, set to stream on the Emmy OTT platform on Sunday, July 18, at 8PM ET.

Many of the nominees in the digital drama categories -- now dubbed "Daytime Fiction" -- are from beloved series such as Studio City and The Bay, and many have strong network soap opera backgrounds.

The nominees in the Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actress in a Daytime Fiction Program category include Sarah Joy Brown (ex-Madison James, Days of our Lives; ex-Agnes Jones, The Bold and the Beautiful; ex-Claudia Zacchara/Carly Corinthos, General Hospital; ex-Julia Jackson, As the World Turns) for her work as Laurie Smith in Amazon's Studio City, and Jade Harlow (ex-Sheryl Connors, DAYS; ex-Jessica Bennett, Passions) for her work as Lianna Ramos in Popstar! TV's The Bay. They are competing with Midori Francis as Lily in Dash & Lily, Sharon Lawrence as Miranda Cryer in The Gaze, and Karrueche Tran as Vivian Johnson-Garrett in The Bay.

Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actor in a Daytime Fiction Program nominees include Sean Kanan (ex-Deacon Sharpe, B&B/The Young and the Restless; ex-A.J. Quartermaine, GH) for his work as Sam Stevens and Dr. Pierce Hartley on Studio City and Kristos Andrews for his work as Pete Garrett on The Bay. They are competing with Gjis Blom as Prince Viridian on The Letter for the King, Lawrence-Hilton Jacobs as Cameran Sanders on A House Divided, and Mark Christopher Lawrence as Hector on $tack$.

Outstanding Performance by a Supporting Actress in a Daytime Fiction Program nominees include Carolyn Hennesy (Diane Miller, GH) for her work as Gloria Winton on Studio City, Alicia Leigh-Willis (ex-Courtney Matthews, GH; ex-Alli Fowler, Another World) for her work as Avery Garrett on The Bay, and Jacklyn Zeman (Bobbie Spencer, GH) for her work as Sofia Madison on The Bay. They are competing with Jodi Long as Mrs. Basil on Dash & Lily and Tiffani Thiessen as Lori Mendoza on Alexa & Katie.

Outstanding Performance by a Supporting Actor in a Daytime Fiction Program nominees include Mike Manning (ex-Charlie Dale, DAYS) for his work as Caleb McKinnon on The Bay; Eric Nelsen (ex-A.J. Chandler, All My Children) for his work as Daniel Garrett on The Bay; and Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio, GH; ex-Colin Atkinson, Y&R) for his work as Daniel DOC Smith on Studio City. They are competing against Neil Crone as Mr. Leopold on Endlings and Cheyenne Jackson as Caleb Covington on Julie and the Phantoms.

Outstanding Younger Performer in a Daytime Fiction Program nominees include Bianca D'Ambrosio (ex-Summer Newman, Y&R) for her work as Frankie Sanders on The Bay and Chiara D'Ambrosio (ex-Summer Newman, Y&R) for her work as Regan Sanders on The Bay. They are competing against Isaac Arellanes as Ruben Reyna in Ghostwriter, Arista Arhin as Sam in Lockdown, Madison Reyes as Julie in Julie and the Phantoms, and Amir Wilson as Tiuri in The Letter for the King.

Outstanding Guest Performer in a Daytime Fiction Program nominees include Anna Maria Horsford (ex-Vivienne Avant, B&B) for her work as Jolene Hernandez in Studio City; A Martinez (ex-Eduardo Hernandez, DAYS; ex-Dr. Ramon Montgomery, B&B; ex-Ray Montez, One Life to Live; ex-Roy DiLucca, GH; ex-Cruz Castillo, Santa Barbara) for his work as Nardo Ramos on The Bay; and Ronn Moss (ex-Ridge Forrester, B&B) for his work as Ronn Moss in Studio City. They are competing against Wanda Sykes as Noah's Mom in Noah's Arc: The 'Rona Chronicles, Andy Serkis as Mayor of Mistrinaut in The Letter for the King, and Randy Wayne as Matthew Johnson in The Bay.

Outstanding Writing Team for a Daytime Fiction Program nominees include the writers from The Bay, as well as Dash & Lily, Ghostwriter, Julie and the Phantoms, and Stuck with You.

Pure Flix's Finding Love in Quarantine, which starred Eva LaRue (ex-Celeste Rosales, The Young and the Restless; ex-Maria Santos, All My Children), made the list of Outstanding Daytime Fiction Programming alongside Doomsday, The Girl in Apartment 15, Rekindling Christmas, and Take My Heart.

Jade Harlow also took to Twitter about this year's Lifestyle Programming Emmy nomination news, sharing, "Just heard the news!!!! It's BEYOND an honor to be listed alongside such incredibly talented artists, who's work I've admired from afar. Congratulations to ALL this years nominees!!"
