The 49th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards are getting an extra dose of star power in the form of Michael Bolton. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Grammy Award-winning artist will be singing his new song, "Beautiful World," during the ceremony on Friday, June 24. He also will perform during the In Memoriam segment.
Bolton took to Twitter to share his enthusiasm about joining the best of daytime TV, sharing, "So excited to perform on the @DaytimeEmmys this Friday live on CBS!"
Michael Bolton has sold more than 75 million records globally, recording eight top 10 albums and two number-one singles on the Billboard charts, as well as winning six American Music Awards and two Grammy Awards. He has also earned three Emmy nominations and a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In addition to performing, he is passionate about humanitarian causes, especially through the Michael Bolton Charities, advocating on behalf of women and children at risk for more than 25 years.
The 49th Annual Daytime Emmys will be hosted by Entertainment Tonight's Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner and will air live at 9PM ET on Friday, June 24, on CBS. The ceremony will also be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.
The Daytime Emmy Awards honor programming in several categories including daytime dramas, talk shows, game shows, and legal/courtroom programs. The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) handed out the Creative Art and Lifestyle Emmy Awards over the weekend. You can find a list of those winners here.
