Barbara’s death in Night of the Living Dead (1968) was a shocking moment. She spent much of the film in a state of fear and helplessness, traumatized by the zombie outbreak. In the climactic scene, Barbara was pulled out of the house by a horde of zombies, including her reanimated brother Johnny.
