Queer stands out as one of the more exciting explorations of gender and identity, one that exists within a culture whose norms continually change. A coming-of-age piece where a young man comes to terms with himself within such fluid, evolvable culture, this is a beautiful movie exploring love, the struggle of being someone's self with a voice full of hope. Its very dynamic presentation with highly charged performances would serve for introspection where ideas about gender and sex are always in flux.
