7. Robert Pattinson – Vanity Fair

Robert Pattinson was cast as the son of Reese Witherspoon's protagonist in Mira Nair's Vanity Fair (2004). However, his scenes were completely left out of the theatrical run of the film, owing to runtime considerations. Pattinson reportedly later joked about how he had come to know about the development only when he didn't receive an invitation for the film. Although that was a disappointment, he would go on to become a global star with the Twilight film series, and also star in films such as The Lighthouse (2019) and The Batman (2022).
