Phoebe's running style is one of her more physical quirks. Unlike the normal smooth joggers in Central Park, Phoebe runs with wild, flailing arms, claiming it makes the experience "more fun." Not only is her distinctive style for exercising amusing; it speaks to who she is as a person. This is typical of Phoebe-she is always rebelling against the social norms-and her style of running is yet another way of setting herself apart. Seeing her run so joyously reminds me of just how unselfconscious she is in her normal life.
