12. Her Superstitions About the Dentist

Out of all the characters in F.R.I.E.N.D.S, Phoebe is the only one who harbors a long-standing superstition, especially regarding dentists: to her mind, every time she has been to the dentist, someone whom she knew has died. Strange as this belief may seem to others, it is indicative of her eccentricity in making connections that do not indeed exist. While Phoebe's reluctance to pay a visit to the dentist, thereby associating it with death, has no basis in reality, it is nonetheless still a belief she adheres to, as if it were an indubitable fact.
