Kat, portrayed by Julia Stiles, is a bright, fiercely independent girl who is not interested in relationships. The disobedient man who unexpectedly falls in love with her while being hired to take her out is Heath Ledger's character, Patrick. This contemporary adaptation of The Taming of the Shrew is still a favorite among fans because of its witty comedy, memorable scenes, and amazing soundtrack from the 1990s.
