The passion of Romeo + Juliet (1996) didn't materialize between the set and Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes. Mischief-prone DiCaprio tired out Danes, who reportedly called him "immature." DiCaprio, in turn, found Danes too uptight, thus forcing ice to form on the set. In an interview, Danes confessed she had turned down Titanic precisely because she didn't want to work with DiCaprio anymore, thus proving their animosity was no short-term thing.
