Some early small roles include Dead Man on Campus (1998), but probably best known as a cast member on Freaks and Geeks (1999–2000), in which Jason Segel first found acclaim as a budding actor. But it would not be until the series How I Met Your Mother (2005–2014) and his Muppets movie series that really showed off Segel as one of the best all-around comedic actors who could get you both laughing and sometimes even feeling.
